This Marvelous Mineral Mascara, enriched with mineral pigments for rich color, wraps lashes in instant color and care. Combining volumizing Acacia Senegal with conditioning Jojoba Oil and Aloe Vera, the unique formula gives lashes natural looking length, volume and a rich, glossy color.

Development of Kiehl’s Marvelous Mineral Mascara was in response to fervent requests from customers – loyal patrons who have long relied on Kiehl’s for the company’s unique, highly efficacious products. This formula addresses a key customer need for natural looking lashes yet accomplished with a “lash caring” application.

The safe, yet gentle formula is hypoallergenic, paraben-free, and fragrance-free. Our ultra-soft brush was carefully designed to be tug-free and extra caring for lashes.

Acacia Senegal: Acacia Senegal or Gum arabica is tapped from the bark of the acacia senegal tree. It has been sourced for over 400 years mainly from Sub-Saharan Africa. It is an important export that helps contribute to local communities. As a natural adhesive and thickening agent, Acacia Senegal, is a gum that is dried to a powder form which allows it to be evenly dispersed into the formula, smoothing it out while ensuring it is never gummy or sticky residue on lashes.

Jojoba Oil: Jojoba Oil is extracted from the beanlike seeds of the desert shrub Simondsia Chinensis and has been traditionally used by both Mexicans and Native Americans for skin care purpose. It reduces transepidermal water loss without completely blocking the transportation of water vapor and gasses, providing suppleness and softness. It is nurturing for the skin and helps to restore skin’s natural lipid barrier.

Aloe Vera: Aloe Vera is a compound extracted from the South African Aloe plant. With over 300 species, Aloe has been used for its medicinal and skin care benefits for over three thousand years. Historically, it is known to soften, soothe and comfort skin.

Mineral Pigments: Minerals are substances that are naturally sourced from the ground or water. Minerals in the Marvelous Mineral Mascara include Iron Oxides, Mica and Bismuth Oxychloride. Mineral pigments help add rich natural color and give a smooth, even application.

Panthenol: Panthenol is a penetrating moisturizer which absorbs into the skin and hair and is converted into Pantothenic Acid, a B complex vitamin. Assists skin care products in retaining water and also absorbs water from the air, aiding in skin and hair moisturization.

Vitamin E: Vitamin E is a lipid soluble naturally found in plant leaves, cereal germ oils, and milk. It is known for its antioxidant and moisturizing properties.
