Anne Hathaway at the 2010 MET Ball

Celebrity makeup artist Gina Brooke gave Anne Hathaway her elegant, timeless look at last night’s Met Costume Institute Gala. Read on to get the details on what Gina used.

Makeup How To:

First, she shaped and defined Anne’s brows using Lancôme Le Crayon Poudre in Brunet. Then she applied Lancôme Le Crayon Khôl in Black Ebony along the lash line and blended with a sponge tip to get rid of any hard edges.

Next, she swept Lancôme Color Design Eyeshadow in Latte on the base of the lid to the edge of the brow bone. Lancôme Color Design Eyeshadow in Backstage Pass and Lézard were blended across the lid. (Gina’s tip: Make sure there is no separation among colors and blend precisely.) She curled Anne’s lashes using a lash curler and then applied two coats of Lancôme Virtuôse Mascara in Black to both top and bottom lashes.

For Anne’s complexion, Gina moisturized the skin with Intraceuticals Opulence Hydration Cream to lock in moisture and even out the skin tone. Then, she prepped the skin with Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer to create a satin finish and minimize shine. She dabbed Hourglass Hidden Concealer in Sand under the eyes as needed using Hourglass #5 Concealer Brush. To create a natural finish, Gina applied Hourglass Illusion Concealer Brush in Sand using Hourglass # 2 Foundation Brush. (Gina’s tip: apply the foundation in the direction of hair growth for a smooth, flawless application.) Gina added a touch of color to the cheeks using Lancôme Blush Subtil in Sheer Amourose and finished the look with Lancôme Color Design Matte Lipstick in Pink Preview.
