SPRING MAKEUP. Spring is around the corner, and all I’m thinking is new and fresh. In beauty terms it means what hot new products I can use this Spring that are so 2013. Here are my picks of the hottest beauty products this Spring, from good skincare for sensitive skin to makeup, perfume, and hair.

SKINCARE

I can’t live without the Simple Skincare wipes. The NEW Simple Radiance Cleansing Wipes are perfume-free and so good at removing my makeup without irritating my skin! There’s nothing worse than heavily-perfumed facial wipes that compete with my perfume… it almost doesn’t make sense. These wipes from Simple are a must-have! They are great for travel, work and anytime you want to refresh.

I also love the NEW Eye Makeup Remover Pads for removing my eye makeup, which I’m addicted to. They are also good to correct makeup mistakes in the morning when I’m lining my eyes with a black liquid eye liner. It’s Simple: wipe, correct, and start over. And lastly from Simple is the NEW Protecting Light Moisturizer with SPF 15… did I mention it’s oil free? I need this moisturizer every day to help protect my skin from the sun. It’s light, fragrance free and it does the job: it hydrates perfectly. It helps to my powder foundation set nicely by making my skin dewy and moist.

MAKEUP

The best powder foundation I’ve discovered is the bareMinerals READY Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 20. My shade is Medium Beige… it sounds dark, but it’s actually light with just the right amount of red and yellow undertones. It is amazing! A little bit goes a long way, and it lasts all day with little to no touch ups. Now that is first because I used to get frustrated with “other” foundations that don’t last an hour and they transfer into my hands, clothes and anything I touched. This one just keeps my oil in check, it’s matte, makes my face look clean and flawless, and the icing on the cake is that it doesn’t have parabens, talc and all that “bad stuff.” Just FYI: I became very sensitive about ingredients in my later year, and now it’s almost like I’m on a mission to clear out my makeup bag from skincare and makeup products that are not up to par, IMO, when it comes to “sensitive” skin.

I also love also the BareMinerals READY bronzer luminizer, The Skinny Dip (dark) and The Premiere (light). OK, I managed to also buy the bareMinerals Correcting Concealer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 in medium 2 (not included in image above). Some other good concealer is the NEW NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. It blends really well & cover smy dark under eye circles. It’s and very smooth to apply, and it blends effortlessly without pulling.

Jane Iredale is also a fantastic makeup line… if you haven’t tried it before, you should. Also good for sensitive skin, the line is mineral-based and free of parabens, talc and heavy perfumes. My latest favorite items from the line are their NEW lip glosses and their mascaras, all of them! That includes Jane Iredale PureGloss & PureLash Lash Extender & Conditioner.

MAC has two beautiful lipstick shades for Spring: MAC Mineralize lipstick in Style Surge (coral) & Lady At Play (coral red). I line these beautiful lipsticks with NARS super silky satin lip pencil in Lodhi (coral) & Hyde Park (reddish). Hot. Hot. Hot.

I just discovered lip products by Kaplan MD Bev Hills & love them. They’re also free of “bad ingredients” and they’re available at Neiman Marcus. Their new Candy shade is the perfect light pink coral for Spring. These lip products by Kaplan MD are designed to be the first complete anti-aging lip treatment that moisturizes, repairs, adds natural fullness and protects with SPF 20… all with color.

HAIR

Hair for Spring means tousled, wavy, breezy and easy-going. To help my waves look frizz-free, smooth and smell amazing, I use Aveda be curly curl controller: its corn-derived blend minimizes volume and frizz as organic babassu lengthens and loosens curls for a more controlled style. Woohoo! I also like the Aveda be curly curl enhancing hair spray. I use it instead of a hair spray to hold my waves.

Moroccanoil  Glimmer Shine Spray is great if you don’t like how hairsprays sometimes leave your hair stiff. This spray when, sprayed lightly concentrating on ends only, will keep your hair soft and touchable and it smells pretty good.

PERFUME

I’m a tough judge when it comes to perfumes, I struggle to find one I like a lot. But, I’ve been always a fan of Angel and Alien by Thierry Mugler. Now they have brand NEW fresher scents for Spring: Thierry Mugler ANGEL Aqua Chic and Thierry Mugler ALIEN Aqua Chic. The perfume bottles of both are fancy and sexy.
