How To Travel & Jet-Set Pretty

Travel & jet-setting are some of my favorite things in life. I love going places and exploring the world. I love getting out of a routine into the fun adventures of the unknown. But I only like to travel when I’m feeling fresh and pretty. These are the skincare and makeup products that are my best travel company. My routine? I get to the airport showered, well dressed and with the perfect makeup. The challenge, however, is to stay like this for hours during a tiring flight with a flight full of dry air.

Simple cleansing facial wipes

How do I stay fresh and pretty when I travel? Well, Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes are a MUST for a fresh travel. I actually remove all my makeup before landing and re-apply my Simple Skincare Vital Vitamin Day Cream with SPF 15 and Simple Skincare Soothing Eye Balm. Then I use matte moisture tint SPF 15 & oil free because I hate looking shiny and oily anywhere, including on a flight. Then Jouer Cosmetic brightener in neutral is like concealer – it’s easy to use and fragrance free, so it conceals redness and skin imperfections on the go. Plus, it’s so small it fits perfectly in my makeup or travel bag.

I finish-up with Jane Iredale Pure pressed base in Golden Glow. It’s a press mineral powder compact with UBB/UVA SPF 20, which I apply with bellapierre Cosmerics Angled Blush Brush No 36. I know it’s a blush brush, but hey, it works for me. It’s perfect for spot powdering on the go.

My favorite lip gloss is BUXOM Lips in Debbie. This lip gloss is the best when I travel because its gives me that fresh tingling feeling on my lips like a breath freshener… plus, it doesn’t feel greasy and is long lasting.

I know a lot of people like mints for fresh breath, but I find brushing my teeth with a good, old-fashioned toothbrush and toothpaste way more refreshing. I bring a travel-size toothbrush and paste like Crest or Colgate and make the necessary trip to the plane’s tiny bathroom for a brushing session. Yes, I like to take the extra mile.

Travel & Jet-Set Pretty with these star makeup and skincare products: Jouer matte moisture tint SPF 15 & oil free, Jane Iredale Pure pressed base in Golden Glow, bellapierre Cosmerics Angled Blush Brush No 36, Votre Vu Le Joli Crayon in Aubergine, Jouer brightner in neutral, Simple skincare soothing eye balm, Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid eyeliner jet, Simple skincare vital vitamin day cream SPF 15, BUXOM Lips in Debbie.

And the Pièce de résistance is my liquid eyeliner in Jet by Anastasia Beverly Hills. Having no eyeliner at all can make even the best-rested traveler look very tired and blah. This liquid eyeliner is easy to line the eyes for dramatic, sexy eyes. If you want to add extra glam, line the outer corners of your eyes half way with Votre Vu Le Joli Crayon in Aubergine. The shade I like is black purple and softer than just black eye liner. For a more slept-in and effortless look, don’t complete the line all the way to inner corner of your eye. And this might shock many… but I skip the mascara.

I also use Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes to fresh my hands. When I fly everything about my skin gets dry and is left feeling un-fresh. These wipes are fragrance free and gentle. They clean and hydrate my hands, making them feel super fresh. Even men love them!

With the help of my Simple Skincare and some star beauty products traveling & jet-setting remain some of the most glamorous times in a girl’s life. My motto: always look your best, even when you are out taking the garbage ha!

Keep it fun, keep it fresh, keep it simple.
