Lanvin Eclat de Fleurs

In 2002, Lanvin Éclat d’Arpège, a fragrance inspired by the unconditional bond of love between Jeanne Lanvin and her daughter Marguerite, debuted. For February 2016, Lanvin reveals another fragrance design, engendering a setting that is just as suggestive: Éclat de Fleurs. The bouquet conjures up the euphoria of a sunny stroll filled with flowers and joy. It is the subtle expression of a new facet of femininity that is full of freshness and spontaneity – a luminous creation that exudes lightness and joy.

A fragrance of enthusiasm

A fruity, floral bouquet, Éclat de Fleurs blends the refined fragrance of flowers with the tangy scent of fruit in a radiant composition that brings to mind the effervescence of a spring afternoon. “Sometimes, an image can struck you and stick in your mind. At the origin of this creation is one of them: a wild field of flowers that immersed us in an “Impressionist” painting. The green herbs were sprinkled with colorful flowers scintillating in the sun, thus creating a picture symbolizing a burst of flowers.

For this fragrance, we have translated this image into scent. The rich and facetted ingredients of the fragrance gave us all the colors to create the DNA of the fragrance,” explain perfumers Anne Flipo and Nicolas Beaulieu of IFF, the designers of this creation. The head note of a succulent Pear accord creates a sensation of colourful freshness that expresses the delectable happiness of a spring fugue. Following this airy top note the floral heart note gradually releases each of its accents. Carried by the luminescence and fruited facets of Freesia, the fragrance releases the voluptuous femininity of Rose with the delicate mellowness of Sambac Jasmine. The base notes of this floral compound are a sensual echo of the addictive sweetness of white Musk with the creaminess of Sandalwood, which emphasize the perfume’s seductiveness.

A design tinged with femininity

The iconic form of a flower is carved into the round bottle. The marguerite (the name of Jeanne Lanvin’s beloved daughter) engraved in the glass bottle with the gentle, curved petals, reminding affiliations Éclat de Fleurs to this family which already unites Arpège and Éclat d’Arpège.

Sharing the same cap as Éclat d’Arpège, the bottle is topped with a rose diamond under which two white gold rings intertwine, representing the love that exists between two beings. The crystalline rose colour can be glimpsed through the transparent bottle while the name of the fragrance is transcribed in silver letters: Éclat de Fleurs. The emblematic Plexiglas case of the Éclat d’Arpège line is adorned with a tender rose, once again reinforcing the refinement and transparency of the object.

The bucolic charm of the countryside

True to the spirit of the fragrance, the advertising visual is that of a trio of young women gently swinging to-and-fro and enjoying laughing together on a sunny afternoon. With free-flowing hair and slender silhouettes swathed in pastel dresses, these women are savouring a shared moment in the blissful peacefulness of unspoilt nature. In the shadow of the trees, cradled by leaves and surrounded by wild flowers and waving grasses, you can hear the women’s chorus of laughter echo on the spring breeze.
