I love everything for my hair from Living Proof: their shampoo, conditioner, styling cream wave shaping , styling cream straight making. Their new product addition is: Living Proof Full Thickening Cream. I haven’t tried it yet but I’m planning to! I will let you know all about my experience.

Meanwhile here are some details about Living Proof Full Thickening Cream:

THE “PERFECT” PROBLEM
Flat, limp, thin, or lifeless hair is a significant concern for many women and is the result of each strand being so smooth and fine that it lies flat, one strand on top of the other. The beauty industry has traditionally tried to add the appearance of volume by puffing up the hair with various sprays (glues, really), or holding the hair into specific positions with various brittle, “glassy” polymers.

Tying ‘The Knot’!

Bridal Runway Chignons and Twists Reflect Looser, Relaxed Versions of the Classics: This season, Bridal Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010 updos reflected looser, imperfect styles to contrast with the superbly elegant gowns sewn to perfection at the Amsale, Christos and Kenneth Pool shows. Since Brides today demand perfection in all aspects of the day, why not ‘relax’ a bit when it comes to their hair? Whether it was loosely-opened chignons, playful accessories, or imperfectly textured French Twists, Tearsheet Artistic Director Giovanni Giuntoli, who instructs stylists through on-set styling classes in New York City, created each look to reflect a no-fuss style that allowed each bride to glide down the aisle with angelic perfection. The best news? Each of the three looks can be easily re-created, of course, with some help from a friend:

Swirled-Open Chignon – seen at Christos (see image above): “At Christos, we wanted to accentuate the young, modern, clean looks with a twist on the classdonut. We took inspiration from the typical ballerina bun, but softened it by adding texture and a bit of lift to the crown and sides. Like she did it herself, with a little help from a friend” explains Giuntoli.ic bun, creating a looser folded.

I’ve always been a fan of FHI Heat styling tools and have used the FHI Heat Platform SE 1 inch styling iron for a while now. I’m now also very much in love with the new 1 inch Go styling iron by FHI Heat (see image below). How can you not fall in love with it: it’s colorful, fashion-forward, and it gets my hair beautifully straight. Also it’s easily portable in travel bags.

The Go styling irons feature brightly-colored, scratch-resistant, ceramic coated plates covered with a high quantity of tourmaline crystals which results in a large negative ion count. Other features include: a beveled edge for curling, flipping and twisting hair; an extra-long 9-foot swivel cord; gentle far infrared heat and low EMF; and an advanced heater with adjustable temperature control that allows the temperature to range from 140 to 410 degrees F. The Go irons also feature a special dual voltage plug that will allow you to plug the irons into various types of outlets which operate on different voltages. The iron retails for $79.99 and comes in 5 colors: Teal, Red, Pink, Black and Purple.

HerCut the first-ever haircare for your haircut, not your hair type? What?! Read more.

Remember the last time you got an amazing haircut? Your stylist nailed the look, capturing your personality in the cut. Every hair fell into place just so, and you left the salon walking on air. Fast-forward to your first shampoo—how did your style stand up without the stylist?

It doesn’t take an expert to maintain straight-from-the-salon style—it takes products that support your cut. HerCut introduces the first hair care line designed to keep first-day haircut performance alive by catering to the needs of specific haircuts rather than specific hair types.

“Every time you get a haircut, you’re making a huge investment—both emotionally and financially,” explains Bob Salem, HerCut creator CEO and founder of Blue Space Brands. “HerCut empowers you to protect that investment, not only by preserving the impact of your cut but also by enabling you to fully embrace the personality of the style.”

“It’s an industry secret that there are really five essential hair styles that all stylists master during their training,” adds HerCut Brand Ambassador and Emmy Award-winner Kyan Douglas. “No matter what your hair type, your stylist uses the same techniques to create your signature style. Maintaining that look is about using products tailored to the cut, not the hair itself. For the first time, HerCut offers products that bring out the best in every cut, giving you flawless style long after you leave the salon.”

Lately I’m giving the Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Shampoo a go. First time for me! I’m still getting the hang of using it. I put a little bit on my ends and tiny on the roots. If your hair is oily, the powder works well in controlling that too oily feeling. I wouldn’t skip my wash entirely with this dry shampoo. But on the days I haven’t washed my hair this product makes my hair smell good and refreshed. Verdict: it’s a keeper. Available at Sephora and sephora.com
