Early this week I left Scottsdale & Paradise Valley Arizona for 2 days in my original hometown New York City. The trip was related to my blog TM aka TalkingMakeup.com.  My background is quite a long story. I was born in Former Soviet Georgia then at age 4 months my parents immigrated to Israel where I grew up till I was 18 hence my Israeli accent.

It’s funny because sometimes when I tell people I was born in Georgia they say now I hear your Russian accent LOL. It’s not a Russian accent it’s Israeli. The point I’m trying to make is that since 18 I spent most of my life living and working in New York City.

So it is always nice to be back. I spent most of my time in Midtown Manhattan at the Dream Hotel, ma peche restaurant, Henri Bendel, CUTLER Salon, Rue 57, FAO Schwartz, The London Hotel, and Harry Cipriani. Here are some pics from my trip:)

Still few good people out there:) Also was very delighted to discover that my waiters were Georgians just like me. I got to practice my Georgian speaking. Priceless.

Happy Friday loves:) Here’s a sneak peek to my life in Scottsdale Arizona ha! It is so beautiful and sunny here today which makes my life so much happier. Not a bad place to be working in Real Estate and blogging, and for family. Growing up in New York City I never thought I would fall in love with any other place. Last night, 1/29/2012, at Hollywood hideaway hotel Chateau Marmont, The Weinstein Company along with Dewar’s hosted a private cocktail party after the 2012 SAG Awards to celebrate their nominees and the evening’s winners.

At the event, celebrities including the casts of Glee and Modern Family, Michelle Williams, Meryl Streep, Sofia Vegara, Busy Phillips, Rumer Willis, Dianna Agron, Julie Bowen, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Guy Pearce, Glenn Close, Rose Byrne, Jean Dugardin, Glenn Close, Juliana Marguilies, Missy Pyle, Chord Overstreet, and several others, mingled with friends, enjoyed dinner and sipped custom Dewar’s cocktails.

When the night’s big winner Jean Dugardin entered the party everyone stood up from their table’s for a standing ovation! And even though Meryl Streep lost to Viola Davis, she was still the most popular guest to snap cell phone photos with. Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Guy Pearce both rushed up to her and gushed how excited they were to meet her. She was in great spirits and even cheered glasses with the other nominees Glenn Close, Berenice Bejo and Michelle Williams as they all said it unison, “We’re such LOSERS!”

Sofia Vegara was a social butterfly, true to form, and mingled with all the guests, taking playful photos and kissing the guests like Alan Cumming and Jesse Tyler Ferguson. She also spent a good part of the evening talking with Jean Dujardin but actually were communicating through his translator. Then they took some personal photos together for her blackberry.

The cast of Glee were surprise guests and didn’t know there was a party there that night. They ended up grabbing their own table and sticking together, with Darren Criss even sitting on Diana Agron’s lap.

Well, I was shocked to see Lindsay’s lips the size of a big red apple. Really to be honest she doesn’t even look like herself (Lindsay’s natural lips are quite thin). The pics in Playboy are like the extremely enhanced version of Lindsay. OK, can you see the before and after pics above?

To the left is Lindsay Lohan before her obsession with Marilyn Monroe, and before her platinum blonde, nose, breast, and lip….jobs. The point I’m really trying to make is that magazines portray a very unrealistic, exaggerated, and bigger than life images of what women should like like. No doubt the Playboy version of Lindsay looks hot but don’t feel bad about it girls, with a little a bit of photoshop and this and that, we can all look like that, just about.
