Housed in a square black bottle (one of the signature colors of the house of Lacroix) with rectangular top, Christian Lacroix Noir is a Fougere Woody fragrance that features the following key notes: Top notes: fresh ginger, exotic saffron extract. Heart: cardamon, textured orris. Base notes: vetiver, driftwood, white cedarwood.

The luxurious packaging of Christian Lacroix Noir is distinctive of the house of Lacroix, reflecting a passion for embroidered motifs with the bold use of black. The pattern on the bottle was inspired by an ornate bull fighting cape Mr. Lacroix received as a gift and incorporated into a haute couture dress. He was so moved by the pattern of the cape, he incorporated a similar design on the bottle of his two Avon fragrances.
