FHI Heat, Inc. announces the appointment of Phillip Wilson, formerly of PureOlogy® Serious Colour Care, as the International Creative Director of FHI Heat, a leading manufacturer of professional hair tools.

Wilson was born and raised outside of London, England, and has worked for three decades in the professional beauty industry as a stylist, salon owner, educator, creative director, and international platform artist, holding prestigious titles such as Artistic Consultant for Redken and L’Oreal USA, and most recently, Creative Director for PureOlogy®.

He began his career as a hairstylist in the west end of London training under European master stylists and interacting with fashion elite and royalty before moving to North America to start his own salon business.

Voted one of the most influential hairdressers of the past 100 years by Modern Salon magazine, Wilson is one of the most published editorial hairstylists in the world, and his artistic work has been featured in numerous beauty and fashion publications. Over the years, Wilson has developed educational programs with the Redken Exchange, directed national and international shows, participated at New York Fashion Week and various international film festivals. He is recognized for his masterful eye, creativity and boundless energy, and enjoys sharing his knowledge and sense of aesthetics with young talent, mentoring their development as stylists and artists.
