Kiehl’s Since 1851 is introducing ‘Superbly Restorative’ body care preparations made with fairly-traded, organic Moroccan Argan Oil and Argan Leaf Extract. Superbly Restorative Body Lotion, Superbly Restorative Dry Oil, and Superbly Restorative will hit Kiehl’s stores and www.kiehls.com in April. All three preparations are refreshingly and naturally fragranced with essential oils of orange and eucalyptus.

This launch marks Kiehl’s first fair trade and their first organic ingredient, 100% certified Argan Oil. In addition, the plastic used for the packaging bottles of the dry oil and lotion is made from Post Consumer Recycled Packaging, which is another Kiehls first, and speaks for their commitment to giving back, as well as their commitment to the environment. Kiehl’s will launch their Superbly Restorative skin Salve later this June. 

Argan oil is a rising trend in the beauty industry as smaller all-natural companies incorporated the rich oil into their formulations, Kiehl’s is the first large beauty company taking advantage of this oil’s naturally rich properties. 

So why is this Argan Oil such great ingredient? Argan Oil is found only in the Argan Forest of Southern Morocco, Argan Oil is pressed from the nut of the Argan Tree’s Fruit. Used by generations of native Berber women in Morocco’s Atlas Mountain Region in beauty and culinary preparations, the natural fatty acids in the oil provides essential nourishment, powerful antioxidant protection, and help restore the vitality of the skin and hair.

Superbly Restorative Body Lotion: A hydrating, antioxidant moisturizer that improves  the skin’s tone and resilience, $35. (On-Counter in April). 
Superbly Restorative Dry Oil: A multi-purpose formula to be used on both skin and hair, which improves the appearance of skin tone, and helps to smooth split ends and add healthy sheen to hair, $30. (On-Counter in April).
Superbly Restorative Skin Salve: Is a multi-purpose concentrated formula for intensive skin and hair relief and maintenance, and can be used for soothing everything from chapped noses, rough elbows and knees, sore muscles, and hair flay-aways. (On-Counter in June).
