NEW YORK, Oct. 19, 2011– DKNY and DKNY Jeans have tapped Ashley Greene for an exclusive one-year agreement to represent the brands in its advertising campaigns. Ashley Greene, best known for her recurring role as Alice Cullen in the Twilight film series, will also serve as the brands’ ambassador.

“Ashley embodies everything DKNY— her energy, her spirit, her eclectic personal style. She is on the forefront of what it means to connect with a global fan base through social media, a focus that is aligned with our digital and new media initiatives,” says Patti Cohen, Donna Karan International’s executive vice president for global marketing and communications.

Says Greene, “I’ve always loved Donna Karan’s creations. To be a part of the brands’ message is incredibly exciting because it feels like such an organic fit. It’s easy to talk about how these clothes work for my lifestyle, whether I’m in New York, L.A. or traveling for work.”

The relationship between the actress and the fashion house came about naturally. Greene first wore Donna Karan to a Berlin premiere of Twilight Eclipse in June 2010. In July, Greene hosted Super Saturday in the Hamptons where she wore DKNY. In September 2010, the house invited Greene to attend the designer’s Spring show. Most recently, Karan designed a custom gown for Greene to wear to the 2011 Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum. A friendship and collaboration was born.

Ashley Greene will appear in the upcoming global ad campaign for Spring 2012, currently being photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.

She will be seen next in five upcoming films: The Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn: Part 1 (November 18, 2011) & Part 2 (November 2012), Butter (February 2012), LOL (2012), and Olivia Twisted (2013).

I set her foundation with mark Matte-nificent Oil-Absorbing Powder in Golden Honey with the mark Powder Brush. For a light flush, I dusted mark Good Glowing Custom Pick Powder Blush in Cameo Glo on her cheeks with the mark Angled Contour Face Brush.”

Eyes

“To prep her eyes, I started by applying mark Please Hold Eye Primer in Light/Medium. I followed by dusting mark I-mark Custom Pick Eye Shadow in Minx to her inner eyelid with the mark Hook Up Eyeshadow Brush. Next, I used the mark Angled Contour Eye Shadow Brush to blend mark I-mark Custom Pick Eye Shadow in Corset into the crease of her eyelid and smudged along the bottom lashes. To create a glamorous, winged-out effect, I used mark On The Edge Hook Up Liquid Eyeliner in Cleo along her top lashes. I finished her eyes with two coats of mark Make It Big Mascara in Raven.”

Lips

“For Ashley’s lips, I applied mark Lipclick Full Color Lipstick in Baby Luv using the mark Hook Up Lip Brush.”

Ashley Greene’s makeup look & inspiration: “I wanted to create a smoldering, gunmetal eye with only a hint of color in the cheeks, and a soft natural mouth.”

Face

”Ashley has nearly flawless skin, so I used foundation and concealer sparingly. First, I used the mark Foundation Brush to apply mark Speedway Do Everything Makeup in Natural only where needed and blended in with my fingers. I find that using my fingers to blend foundation heats the product just a bit and leaves a seamless finish.

Next, I applied mark Good Riddance Hook Up Concealer in Medium/Deep under her eyes, followed by a light dusting of mark Matte-nificent Oil Absorbing Powder in Buff/Natural to her t-zone area. For her cheeks, I applied mark Just Pinched Instant Blush Tint in Cheeky to the apples, blending outward toward the cheekbones. Then, to accentuate her high cheekbones, I applied mark Get Bright Hook Up Highlighter in Natural and blended in toward the apples of her cheeks. The combination of the creamy textures and hint of color blend to make the cheeks look pretty and luminous.”

Eyes

“First, I applied mark I-mark Custom Pick Eyeshadow in Corset to her lid, blending just over the natural crease and extending outward to elongate her eyes. I used the same color under her bottom lashes for a soft smoky effect. For a kick of shine, I added a touch of mark Get Bright Hook Up Highlighter in Natural to her brow bone. Eye liner is truly the key to this look – it adds a depth of color and edge that make this eye look sexy. For Ashley’s eyes, I lined her top and bottom lids with mark No Place to Run Longwear Eyeliner in Jet Set. I focused on making the top line heavier and blended into the shadow, while blending the bottom line with the mark Flat Eyeliner Brush to smooth underneath her bottom lashes. The final touch was lining the inside rim of the eye. I love a full, feathery lash so I finished with a double coat of mark Scanda-Lash Hook Up Mascara in Blacklash.”

Lips

“To keep Ashley’s lips looking gorgeous and natural, I applied mark Lipclick Full Color Lipstick in Bare Hug.”

How to get Ashley Greene’s Hairstyle: Since filming the third installment of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, screen siren Ashley Greene has recently traded her short, sophisticated bob hairstyle for long, sexy layers thanks to the expert team at Sally Hershberger Los Angeles.

Stylist Guy Riggio of Sally Hershberger LA said that Ashley decided to experiment with a shorter look last year since her long, thick hair was a hassle to get under the short wig that she wore to transform into Alice Cullen on set.

“Her long hair was difficult to fold and pin under her wig so It was a great excuse to experiment with a new look! First we cut and razored her her hair to collarbone length to create a cool, choppy look. Ashley wore her new length for a month or two until we cut it even further and styled it into a chic bob with a swept bang. Thinning our her hair was paramount and I left her swept bangs long to accent her beautiful eyes and give her hair movement.”

After wrapping the movie, Ashley decided to grow her hair out and in the meantime, Louise Moon of Sally Hershberger LA gave her instant length with gorgeous extensions that matched her hair texture.

Guy Riggio cut the extensions to blend into her real hair and created a face frame to give her versatility during daily styling and red carpet events. “I wanted a look that could be both elegant and sexy. The finished product is a very chic look that will give her many options during the rest of her “grow out” phase.”

Star colorist Negin Zand of Sally Hershberger finished Ashley’s sexy look by giving her a light golden brown base and highlights that are a mix of baby blonde and golden tones.

“For Ashley’s eyes I started by using mark I-mark Custom Pick Eyeshadow in Nomadic to create a champagne shimmer all over her eyelids and under the bottom lashes. Next, to define and elongate the lash line, I lined her upper eyelids with mark Keep It Going Longwear Eyeliner and Shadow in Entourage (Black Shade). For a touch of added depth, I used mark Get in Line Hook Up Waterproof Eyeliner in Painted Black at the very base of her lashes. I finished with a few generous coats of mark Lash Splash Hook Up Waterproof Mascara in Black.”

Lips

“For Ashley’s lips, I started by using a dab of mark Kiss Dry Goodbye Lip Smoother to give her lips a touch of moisture. I then used mark Kissink Liptint Marker in Berry to define the outer edge of her lips and smudged the color into the center.”
