<h2>CHANEL ESPACE PARFUM OPENS AT BLOOMINGDALE’S 59th STREET</h2>
<p><span id="more-48830"></span>An olfactory oasis set within a large department store, Espace Parfum invites customers into the world of CHANEL fragrance to indulge in the luxury of a private consultation room devoted to fragrance. Designed by CHANEL Deputy Perfumer <strong>Christopher Sheldrake</strong>, the Olfactive Bar houses the 51 fragrances that comprise the entire range of CHANEL perfumery including limited-distribution fragrances like the <strong>Les Exclusifs</strong> collection, as well as <strong>Chanel N°5</strong>, <strong>Coco Mademoiselle</strong> and <strong>Bleu de CHANEL</strong>. “Once again, CHANEL has set a new standard in luxurious experience,” says <strong>Howard Kreitzman</strong>, Bloomingdale&#8217;s VP/DMM of Cosmetics &amp; Fragrances. “We are thrilled to be able to offer our loyal shoppers the opportunity to experience the world of CHANEL fragrance in this extraordinary setting.”</p>
<p>A fragrance expert with extensive CHANEL fragrance training who has spent three weeks at <strong>L’Institut Supérieur International du Parfum</strong>, the premiere fragrance institute in France, will be on hand every day at Espace Parfum to share stories about the brand’s history, inspiration, raw ingredients and the notes of each fragrance. During client consultations, the expert will use patented ceramic blotters, which capture the essence of each fragrance and help customers determine their perfect scents.</p>
<p>“Since the creation of CHANEL N°5, our preeminence in the world of fragrance can be attributed to our rich heritage of ‘in-house’ master perfumery, and the quality of our laboratories and exclusive sources for raw materials,” says <strong>Christine Dagousset</strong>, executive vice president, CHANEL Fragrance and Beauté. “As an experience, Espace Parfum reveals a wealth of information about fragrance, about how to wear scent, and about one’s own nature. <p>Bloomingdale&#8217;s and Space NK have agreed to an exclusive multi-year arrangement to open beauty boutiques in nine Bloomingdale&#8217;s locations across the country beginning in November. The British based retail phenomenon, founded by Belfast-born, Nicky Kinnaird, is best known for its innovative approach, exceptional service and highly edited selection of the most coveted and craved beauty items sourced by Kinnaird herself.</p>

<p>&#8220;This is a powerful partnership of two brands that believe in the importance of accessible luxury,&#8221; said Michael Gould, Chairman and CEO of Bloomingdale&#8217;s. &#8220;Together, we can offer the Bloomingdale&#8217;s customer a unique shopping experience and access to top beauty brands from all over the world.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Space NK is based on a vision of my personal dream store,&#8221; says Nicky Kinnaird, Founder and Creative Director. &#8220;I wanted to create an experience that would impress me as a customer, delight, educate, and surprise me. <p>Supermodel <strong>Heidi Klum</strong> will make a special appearance, on Tuesday September 9th 2008 at <strong>Bloomingdale&#8217;s</strong> at 59th Street and Lexington Ave, to celebrate the Fall/Winter 2008 capsule collection designed in collaboration with Jordache, called <strong>Heidi Klum by Jordache</strong>, available at Bloomingdale&#8217;s nationwide this Fall.</p>

<p>Heidi Klum by Jordache includes premium denim, customized to fit every body type and designed with Heidi&#8217;s signature clover emblem and incorporating intricate inseam stitching and detailed belt loops. The Fall/Winter 2008 collection will add luxe cashmere sweaters, fine gauged knits, chunky trendy tunics and Italian Napa leather motorcycle jackets. The line will retail for $140 &#8212; $298.</p>
<p>In celebration of this exciting launch, Heidi will also host an in store autograph signing for customers which is scheduled at 12pm.</p>
