Celebrity Makeup Artist Gita Bass created Elizabeth Olsen’s gorgeous look for the 2012 Critics’ Choice Awards last night, using CHANEL Makeup.

“We were inspired by Elizabeth’s dress (Pucci yellow dress from the Spring 2012), which was a bright color, so we decided to create a really natural look. I gave her a fresh healthy glow and kept her looking effortless and young,” said Gita.

After first priming the face with Le Blanc de Chanel Sheer Illuminating Base, Gita applied CHANEL Vitalumiere Moisture Rich Radiance Fluid Makeup SPF 15 in Ivoire to create flawless, even skin tone. She then placed Soleil Tan de Chanel Moisturizing Bronzing Powder under the cheekbones and CHANEL Blush Duo Tweed Effect in Tweed Sienna on the apples of her cheeks for a fresh pop of color. Gita then highlighted her cheek and brow bones using CHANEL Limited Edition Natural Finished Pressed Powder in Jasmin.

To create the natural eye look, Gita blended the lightest two shades from CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow in Demure on the lid up to the crease and under the bottom lash line. “Using a wet pointed brush, I traced the dark brown shade between her upper lashes to create definition,” descirbed Gita. She then curled Elizabeth’s lashes with what she called “the amazing CHANEL Precision Eyelash Curler” and applied two coats of CHANEL Inimitable Intense Mascara in Noir. To finish the look, Gita beautified the lips with CHANEL Glossimer in Petillant.

Sandra Bullock at the premiere of Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close makeup by CHANEL Celebrity Makeup Artist Angela Levin. Makeup Inspiration: My inspiration was modern, sexy, simple and effortless.

Skincare: I started by prepping Sandra’s face and neck with a layer of CHANEL Ultra Correction Lift Concentrate and after two minutes, applied a light coat of Sublimage La Creme.

Foundation: With a foundation brush, I applied CHANEL Perfection Lumiere Makeup SPF 15 in 52 Beige Rose using a little amount and blending it into the skin to create that dewy, flawless look we love for a premiere.

Blush: For the cheeks, I used CHANEL Powder Blush Orchid Rose on the apple of her cheeks.

Eye Shadow: I used three Edward Bess Ultra Luminous Eyeshadows: Nude-all over eye lid, Dusk-in the outer corner and crease, Escape-the eye upper liner and lower.

Mascara: CHANEL Inimitable Intense Mascara in Noir.

Lips: For her lips, I wanted something that was noticeable, but didn’t take over the face. We decided on a “moist winter lip” with CHANEL Rouge Coco Baume and then followed with Rouge Allure Velvet in L’Exquise which I dabbed on Sandra’s lips. I applied another coat of Rouge Coco Baume to create moisture, but not too much shine. In Sandra’s evening purse, I surprsied her with a Rouge Coco Shine in Cavaliere for touch ups.

Rooney Mara at the premiere of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo makeup by Chanel Celebrity makeup artist Kate Lee. Makeup Inspiration: The dress, a Prabal Gurung cutout gown, was so magnificent, we just decided that she needed to look effortless, and that the lip should look “bitten”.

Skincare: Rooney’s skin was prepped with CHANEL Hydramax Serum.

Foundation: I then perfected it with CHANEL Perfection Lumiere applied with a damp beauty blender sponge

Blush: I applied the tiniest amount of Kevin Aucion creamy cheek colour in Tresbelle just on the apples.

Eye Shadow: We kept the lid nude-no shadow!

Brows: I groomed her brows with CHANEL pencil in Noir Cendre and set in place with black mascara.

Mascara: I curled her lashes and gave a coat of CHANEL inimitable Waterproof.

Lips: The lip colour was the perfect ruddy shade, brownish red…I used Rouge Allure Velvet in La Somptueuse and applied it as a stain.

Celebrity Hairdresser David Babaii flew to Paris to create Uma Thurman’s looks for Paris Fashion Week’s Spring/Summer 2012 Collections.

At the Chanel Show, Uma Thurman sat front row with her tousled Bohemian up-do by celebrity hairstylist David Babaii. He created this romantic and elegant style to emphasize Uma’s beautiful bone structure and timeless Chanel dress.

He began by spraying her entire head with Pure Texture by IT&LY HAIRFASHION (www.italyhairfashion.com) scrunching into her hair for body, lift and texture. Next, he dried her tresses using a small round brush to create both texture and curl. After drying, he applied some IT&LY HAIRFASHION Pure Definition Paste into his hands, using his fingers to loosen the curls from the mid-section to the ends only. This was done as to not disturb the texture at the top and crown area. Next, he carefully finger combed all hair back using his fingers to gently roll and twist hair to the center back of the nape, securing with bobby pins and allowing any loose hairs to fall naturally. For a natural and long lasting hold, he used IT&LY HAIRFASHION Pure Definition Hairspray with memory hold to complete the look.

For the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2012 Show, David changed her look to a shiny sleek ponytail to compliment her brightly patterned Louis Vuitton dress and red lips. To achieve the look, David Babaii began by applying Pure Fluid Experience by IT&LY HAIRFASHION (www.italyhairfashion.com) to hydrate and add shine. He blow dried her hair bone straight using IT&LY’s Racing Red Ionic Blow Dryer. After tresses were dry, he created a long side part and applied IT&LY HAIRFASHION Pure Definition Paste to sweep the hair to the side and straight back. David brushed and smoothed the remaining hair back into a ponytail, finishing with IT&LY HAIRFASHION Pure Definition Hairspray.
