How to get Olivia Wilde’s hairstyle:

To start, he applied a dime-sized amount of Couture Colour Pequi Oil to her clean, damp hair, massaging into her tresses for maximum shine. David then rough dried her hair with his fingers to add texture during the blow drying stage. To create her gorgeous waves, he divided the hair into 4 parts: top, sides and back leaving the nape area free. Starting at the nape area, he took 1-2 inch sections, combing the hair before starting (varied sizes create more texture and movement).

Using the FHI Heat 1 1/4″ KORE Spring Grip Curling Iron, he wrapped these sections around the inside of the barrel, holding for 10 seconds. He then clipped each completed curl and proceeded to the next. After completing the entire head, David removed the clips and allowed the curls to relax and fall naturally into place. He then used his fingers to arrange, separate and style her waves, while sweeping her fringe to the side. At the Chanel Show, Uma Thurman sat front row with her tousled Bohemian up-do by celebrity hairstylist David Babaii. He created this romantic and elegant style to emphasize Uma’s beautiful bone structure and timeless Chanel dress.

Olivia Wilde’s Beachy Waves by Celebrity Hairstylist David Babaii: “To create Olivia’s soft beach waves, I began by applying Couture Colour Pequi Oil Treatment through the hair before drying. For the bang area, I used a large paddle brush to create a sleek finish. Next, I created 3 sections (sides and nape) for total control.

Starting at the nape area, I took 2″ sections and wrapping them around the inside of a large barrel curling iron and securing with pins. After curling the entire head and allowing the sections to cool, I removed the pins allowing the curls to fall naturally.

To finish, I applied an additional amount of Pequi Oil to my hands and gently brushed the curls out using my fingers, allowing her curls to fall into a natural wave pattern. Then, I finished her style by applying additional Pequi Oil for enhanced condition, strength and shine without weighing it down.”

To achieve, David Babaii prepared Uma’s freshly washed and conditioned hair by massaging a dime size amount of Couture Colour Pequi Oil Treatment (www.sephora.com) into her tresses from roots to ends, combing it through with a wide tooth comb for even distribution.

Next, he used a blow dryer to dry the hair with a large round brush, lifting the root area for added volume and cupping the ends under for a smooth, rounded finish. After drying, he applied an additional amount of Pequi Oil for control and then loosely gathered the hair with his fingers and braiding it into a long, loose braid down the center back. He secured it with a rubber band while leaving the shorter top and side layers free. To finish, David created soft loose curls with a 1 ½” curling iron by taking large sections and wrapping them around the inside barrel, holding for a few seconds. He then released allowing the curls to fall naturally to achieve a true French Bohemian Look.

According to David, “Pequi Oil gives me the hold and shine I want for all my celebrity clients. It gives me a healthy shiny finish every time I use it.” Next, he rough dried her tresses by using his hands and a blow dryer, moving the hair in various directions.

Once dry, he randomly took sections of various sizes and wrapped them around a large barrel curling iron and holding for several seconds before releasing the curl. Allow each curl to fall naturally. For additional lift at the scalp area, he sprayed a light holding hair spray on his finger tips and applied to the root area by roughly massaging into the area. To achieve the look, David Babaii always starts with clean fresh hair. The clean canvas theory remains his mantra for every red carpet look. David began by applying Couture Colour Pequi Oil Treatment and gently massaging into the hair.

The Pequi Oil Treatment is used prior to blow drying to deliver silky and shiny hair. With the IT&LY HAIRFASHION Ionic Blow Dryer, David rough dried the hair for texture and volume. Next, he created a center part and began taking random sections wrapping only the center portion of some of the strands (leaving the top and ends free) around a 1″ curling iron. Modern elegance was David Babaii’s inspiration for Nicole Kidman’s SAG red carpet look.

Starting with clean hair, David applied his new favorite must have product called Couture Colour Pequi Oil Treatment to her entire head. It is rich in moisture-restoring antioxidants, Vitamin A, E, proteins and lipids.

David created a full side part and sectioned the hair for control. His favorite method is to divide the head into 4 sections (top, sides, back leaving the nape area your starting point). Each section was given a blast of hot air to create the curl followed by a shot of cool air to set the curl in place. Gently he released the curl creating soft defined waves.

The 60′s took the lead on Sandra Bullock’s look with creating a full bang and textured ends. After blow drying her hair straight with a paddle brush, David sectioned the hair separating the bang area first then clipping the sides and back.
