Olivia Wilde radiated red carpet glamour at the October 20th premiere of “In Time” in Westwood, California with hair by celebrity hairstylist David Babaii. David created a loose Bohemian chic wave to compliment her stunning ombre hair color.

Olivia Wilde’s Bohemian Chic Waves by David Babaii for the Premiere of “In Time”

How to get Olivia Wilde’s hairstyle:

To start, he applied a dime-sized amount of Couture Colour Pequi Oil to her clean, damp hair, massaging into her tresses for maximum shine. David then rough dried her hair with his fingers to add texture during the blow drying stage. To create her gorgeous waves, he divided the hair into 4 parts: top, sides and back leaving the nape area free. Starting at the nape area, he took 1-2 inch sections, combing the hair before starting (varied sizes create more texture and movement).

Using the FHI Heat 1 1/4″ KORE Spring Grip Curling Iron, he wrapped these sections around the inside of the barrel, holding for 10 seconds. He then clipped each completed curl and proceeded to the next. After completing the entire head, David removed the clips and allowed the curls to relax and fall naturally into place. He then used his fingers to arrange, separate and style her waves, while sweeping her fringe to the side. He finished her style with IT&LY Hairfashion’s Purity Design Pure Definition Hairspray which has memory hold for a long-lasting, flexible finish.

Celebrity Hairdresser David Babaii flew to Paris to create Uma Thurman’s looks for Paris Fashion Week’s Spring/Summer 2012 Collections.

Uma Thurman Front Row at Chanel on October 4, 2011

At the Chanel Show, Uma Thurman sat front row with her tousled Bohemian up-do by celebrity hairstylist David Babaii. He created this romantic and elegant style to emphasize Uma’s beautiful bone structure and timeless Chanel dress.

He began by spraying her entire head with Pure Texture by IT&LY HAIRFASHION (www.italyhairfashion.com) scrunching into her hair for body, lift and texture. Next, he dried her tresses using a small round brush to create both texture and curl. After drying, he applied some IT&LY HAIRFASHION Pure Definition Paste into his hands, using his fingers to loosen the curls from the mid-section to the ends only. This was done as to not disturb the texture at the top and crown area. Next, he carefully finger combed all hair back using his fingers to gently roll and twist hair to the center back of the nape, securing with bobby pins and allowing any loose hairs to fall naturally. For a natural and long lasting hold, he used IT&LY HAIRFASHION Pure Definition Hairspray with memory hold to complete the look.

Uma Thurman at the Louis Vuitton Show on October 5, 2011

For the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2012 Show, David changed her look to a shiny sleek ponytail to compliment her brightly patterned Louis Vuitton dress and red lips. To achieve the look, David Babaii began by applying Pure Fluid Experience by IT&LY HAIRFASHION (www.italyhairfashion.com) to hydrate and add shine. He blow dried her hair bone straight using IT&LY’s Racing Red Ionic Blow Dryer. After tresses were dry, he created a long side part and applied IT&LY HAIRFASHION Pure Definition Paste to sweep the hair to the side and straight back. David brushed and smoothed the remaining hair back into a ponytail, finishing with IT&LY HAIRFASHION Pure Definition Hairspray.

Gwyneth Paltrow’s 2011 Emmy hairstyle was created by celebrity hairstylist David Babaii. According to David, the look was titled “straight edgy” taking a straight look and disheveling it to create soft texture.

Gwyneth Paltrow’s Emmy Hair by Celebrity Hairstylist David Babaii

Here’s how to…

To begin, he took a small amount of Couture Colour Pequi Oil (www.couturecolour.com) and massaged it into the hair prior to blow drying…

Pequi Oil absorbs instantly into the hair while giving tresses incredible softness and shine without weighing it down. After the hair was completely dry, he parted her hair down the middle and divided strands into 4 sections (sides, crown and nape). To straighten, David used the IT&LY HAIRFASHION 1″ Digital Flat Iron (www.italyhairfashion.com) with even temperature control. He started at the nape working up toward the crown and sides. To finish and create movement, he added an additional amount of Pequi Oil to his hands running it through her hair and scrunching to create this “straight edgy” look.

Dianna Agron’s September 2011 Cosmopolitan Covers were created by Celebrity Hairstylist David Babaii. The gorgeous Dianna Agron of Glee appears on three different covers for the September 2011 issue of Cosmopolitan Magazine. As a triple cover threat, Dianna shows off various ways to wear your hair sexy with styling by celebrity hairstylist David Babaii. TM & Marta Walsh has the scoop.

“For the first look “Elegant Sexy”, David sectioned her hair down the middle creating a de-structured part using his finger to separate.”

David Babaii achieved these 3 looks (Elegant Sexy, Bad Ass Sexy, and Wild Sexy) with 3 simple products: Couture Colour Pequi Oil, a medium hold non-aerosol hairspray plus an ionic blow dryer. To start, he applied a small amount of Pequi Oil to the hair after towel drying and massaging into her tresses. This vital step helps to add texture, strength and shine without weighing strands down. Next, he blow dried her hair using his fingers to move her crop cut upward to create volume, while twisting small sections to create texture. Once dry, a medium hold non-aerosol hairspray allowed the freedom to define and add additional texture to the hair.

For the first look “Elegant Sexy”, David sectioned her hair down the middle creating a de-structured part using his finger to separate.

For the second look “Bad Ass Sexy”, David swept the fringe area to one side while using additional Pequi Oil on his finger tips to create enhanced movement. The ideal feature about Pequi Oil is how easily it can refresh a style and allow you to change it up without build-up or losing control of the hairstyle.

For the third look “Wild Sexy”, David took his blow dryer and fingers with a small amount of Pequi Oil to finger brush her hair back. He lightly spritzed the hair with a medium hold non-aerosol hairspray to complete the look.

Starting at the nape area, I took 2″ sections and wrapping them around the inside of a large barrel curling iron and securing with pins. After curling the entire head and allowing the sections to cool, I removed the pins allowing the curls to fall naturally.

To finish, I applied an additional amount of Pequi Oil to my hands and gently brushed the curls out using my fingers, allowing her curls to fall into a natural wave pattern. Then, I finished her style by applying additional Pequi Oil for enhanced condition, strength and shine without weighing it down.”

Uma Thurman hairdo at the Los Angeles Premiere of “Ceremony”

To achieve, David Babaii prepared Uma’s freshly washed and conditioned hair by massaging a dime size amount of Couture Colour Pequi Oil Treatment (www.sephora.com) into her tresses from roots to ends, combing it through with a wide tooth comb for even distribution.

Next, he used a blow dryer to dry the hair with a large round brush, lifting the root area for added volume and cupping the ends under for a smooth, rounded finish. After drying, he applied an additional amount of Pequi Oil for control and then loosely gathered the hair with his fingers and braiding it into a long, loose braid down the center back. He secured it with a rubber band while leaving the shorter top and side layers free. To finish, David created soft loose curls with a 1 ½” curling iron by taking large sections and wrapping them around the inside barrel, holding for a few seconds. He then released allowing the curls to fall naturally to achieve a true French Bohemian Look.

Liv Tyler’s hairstyle. To achieve this curly, wavy, sultry look for Liv Tyler’s Los Angeles Premiere of “Super” on March 21, 2011, celebrity hairstylist David Babaii applied his favorite new product Couture Colour Pequi Oil Treatment (www.sephora.com) from roots to ends.

Liv Tyler’s LA Premiere of “Super”: Shiny, Healthy Hair by David Babaii

According to David, “Pequi Oil gives me the hold and shine I want for all my celebrity clients. It gives me a healthy shiny finish every time I use it.” Next, he rough dried her tresses by using his hands and a blow dryer, moving the hair in various directions.

Once dry, he randomly took sections of various sizes and wrapped them around a large barrel curling iron and holding for several seconds before releasing the curl. Allow each curl to fall naturally. When the desired amounts of waves were achieved, he applied additional Pequi Oil to his hands and ran them through the strands to define each wave and impart extra shine. For additional lift at the scalp area, he sprayed a light holding hair spray on his finger tips and applied to the root area by roughly massaging into the area. This creates added fullness and texture.

L to R: Beyonce and Gwyneth Paltrow

To achieve the look, David Babaii always starts with clean fresh hair. The clean canvas theory remains his mantra for every red carpet look. David began by applying Couture Colour Pequi Oil Treatment and gently massaging into the hair.

The Pequi Oil Treatment is used prior to blow drying to deliver silky and shiny hair. With the IT&LY HAIRFASHION Ionic Blow Dryer, David rough dried the hair for texture and volume. Next, he created a center part and began taking random sections wrapping only the center portion of some of the strands (leaving the top and ends free) around a 1″ curling iron. Alternating stands were wrapped around the curling iron, leaving only the very tips free. This was done to create uneven curl patterns. Once the strand cooled, David ran his fingers up the strand creating a “fanning effect”. To finish, he added additional Couture Colur Pequi Oil Treatment to his hands and tousled the waves for added volume, texture and hold.

Celebrity Hairstylist David Babaii Presents His “Style How To” for Nicole Kidman at the 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Modern elegance was David Babaii’s inspiration for Nicole Kidman’s SAG red carpet look.

Starting with clean hair, David applied his new favorite must have product called Couture Colour Pequi Oil Treatment to her entire head. It is rich in moisture-restoring antioxidants, Vitamin A, E, proteins and lipids.

The Pequi Oil Treatment instantly absorbs and won’t weigh hair down. Next, he blow dried Nicole’s hair with the IT&Y HAIRFASHION Ionic Dryer that supplies super-fast drying power along with a large round brush to achieve a sleek straight finish. After the hair was dried, he gently back combed the top and sides for volume and then smoothed the surface. To begin the up-do, he swept the hair gently over creating a faux side-part and brining the rest of the hair to the center back and securing with a band just at the top of the nape. David wrapped the hair into an un-structured Chignon and securing with bobby pins. The secret was not to over comb or smooth the hair but to allow the hair to create a soft natural look. To finish, he used additional Pequi Oil to her bang area to define strands. For added glamour, David added a subtle decorative clip to the side.

The inspiration celebrity hairstylist David Babaii used in creating this years’ 2011 Golden Globes red carpet looks for both Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock drew from vintage hairstyles from the 60′s and 70′s. His predictions for this years’ award season is the use of natural textures and waves, creating healthy and shiny hair while simplifying how to get the look by using only 1 product and the finest styling tools.

Nicole Kidman

Celebrity hairstylist David Babaii created Nicole’s look with a 70′s feel. To achieve this look, he applied a small amount Couture Colour Pequi Oil Treatment (David is the first to use this “new” product: available March 2011) to her damp hair. David created a full side part and sectioned the hair for control. His favorite method is to divide the head into 4 sections (top, sides, back leaving the nape area your starting point). With the finest Italian made blow dryer by IT&LY HAIRFASHION and a medium round brush, David wanted to demonstrate that you can achieve straight hair while infusing volume by using only a blow dryer. After drying each section straight, he applied an additional amount of Couture Colour Pequi Oil Treatment to the lower portion of her hair. He divided the strands into 6 large sections and wrapping each one around a round brush. Each section was given a blast of hot air to create the curl followed by a shot of cool air to set the curl in place. Gently he released the curl creating soft defined waves.

Sandra Bullock

The 60′s took the lead on Sandra Bullock’s look with creating a full bang and textured ends. Celebrity hairstylist David Babaii applied a small amount Couture Colour Pequi Oil Treatment to her damp hair. After blow drying her hair straight with a paddle brush, David sectioned the hair separating the bang area first then clipping the sides and back. Starting at the nape he re-applied an additional amount of Couture Colour Pequi Oil Treatment to each section creating the maximum amount of shine while flat ironing the hair completely straight with IT&LY HAIRFASHION’S Digital Flat Iron. Using a digital control allows the proper temperature to achieve the best results. For the bang area, he flat ironed them by turning the iron slightly under creating a soft cupping affect. To finish he applied some of the oil to his hands warming slightly and running his hands over the top to smooth fly-a-ways and define the piecey texture to the ends.

About Couture Colour Pequi Oil Treatment:

Derived from the Pequi fruit, known for centuries as the beauty secret of the Amazon Rainforest comes Pequi Oil Treatment. It is rich in moisture-restoring anti-oxidants; Vitamin A, E, proteins and lipids, reviving even the driest, color treated, and chemically straightened hair while keeping color vibrant with a special UV filter. This treatment also tames frizz, mends split ends, and gives incredible softness and shine. Instantly absorbing Pequi Oil won’t weigh hair down. Perfect for all hair types, this alcohol free formula can be used every day.
