This year at New York’s annual Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, some of the most beautiful hairstyles seen on the red carpet were created exclusively by Frederic Fekkai celebrity stylists using ALL Fekkai products. This year’s MET Ball, themed “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty,” was hosted by Anna Wintour, Stella McCartney and Colin Firth, with Francois-Henri Pinault and Salma Hayek as honorary co-chairs. LOOK: A tousled low chignon full of volume and texture

How to get the look: Abergel started out by applying Fekkai Coiff™ Bouffant Lifting & Texturizing Spray Gel to the roots to add volume and then loosely dried the hair with his hands. With a ¾ inch iron he created a natural wave and sprayed Fekkai Beach Waves to keep the curl. Then he let the hair fall into a rough middle part and pulled the hair back into a low chignon. He then wrapped one piece of hair around the bottom of the rolled ponytail to add sophistication to the edgy style. Next, he embellished the hair by adding an accessory and left a few front pieces to maintain a soft texture. He then let the hair fall into it’s natural part and curled the hair with a 1’ barrel curling iron, using special technique to give it a broken look. He then took the left and right section and tied the hair as if you were tying a knot in a shoe lace to create two separate knots. Demi Moore was a complete vision at the Academy Awards 2010, from her dusty rose Versace gown to her easy updo to her softly dramatic makeup. Celebrity makeup artist Jo Strettell did the beauty honors for the always-stunning Demi.

How to get Demi Moore’s Oscars 2010 makeup look:

For Demi’s complexion, Jo mixed two Giorgio Armani foundations—Luminous Silk Foundation and Lasting Silk UV SPF 34 Compact Foundation—and swept YSL Touche Éclat under the eyes and around the nose. Lancôme’s Blush Subtil in Rose Fresque, just on the apples of the cheeks, brightened her complexion.

Jo created the soft, smoky eye with Lancôme Color Design Eye in Ciel du Soir on the lid and Color Design Eye in Honeymoon as a highlight from right above the lid to the brow bone and on the inner corner of the eyes. Lancôme’s Le Crayon Khôl in Gris Noir lined the eyes and Jo softened the look by smudging the line. The lashes were curled with a Shu Uemura lash curler, followed by several coats of Lancôme Hypnôse Drama in Excessive Black on the top lashes and Ôscillation Mascara in Black to the lower lashes.
