Estée Lauder announced today the launch of the brand’s new official YouTube channel. The Estée Lauder channel, Your Source for Expert Beauty Advice (www.youtube.com/esteelauder) houses 35 original videos showcasing Creative Makeup Director Tom Pecheux, and global spokesmodels Hilary Rhoda, Constance Jablonski, Liu Wen, Joan Smalls, Carolyn Murphy and Elizabeth Hurley.

Featuring original content that is highly interactive, viewers will be engaged in a visual, tactile way that gives a new and insightful look into the Estée Lauder brand. The Estée Lauder YouTube channel is a self-contained platform where consumers can see product information, read ratings and reviews, get beauty tips, comment and share – all without having to leave the channel.

Videos are curated into various sections to allow for easy navigation of content including:

- How-To Videos – Interviews with Creative Makeup Director Tom Pecheux – Behind-the-Scenes Access – Signature Services Videos – Beautiful Skin Demonstrations

Instructional how-to videos are a focal point of the channel. Viewers can easily follow along to learn how to create a simple smoky eye, get fuller lips, achieve a bold brow look, and so much more. To make the experience seamless, there are simple instructions below each video that also correspond to a product. If a viewer would like to purchase a featured product, there are ratings and reviews featured in the video as well.

To practice creating a look on yourself in real time, viewers can activate the on-screen mirror and watch the tutorial while trying the application method on themselves. This feature initiates your webcam which allows you to follow along easily. You can see both yourself and the video on the screen at once so you can apply the techniques on yourself.

There is also content within content: annotations within the videos direct people to other related videos to continually engage viewers. For example within the platform, if you’re watching a video with Hilary Rhoda, an annotation may appear and direct you to a behind-the-scenes video of Hilary. Or, if you’re watching a video featuring Advanced Night Repair, an annotation may appear and direct you to the product’s ratings and reviews.

In addition, users will also be able to read product ratings and reviews without having to leave the Estée Lauder YouTube channel. These reviews are generated from the millions of customers that visit the brand’s e-commerce website and allows YouTube viewers to have reliable feedback immediately on-hand. The channel will be updated continually with fresh content.

Pecheux took the Estée Lauder makeup collection into a new level. Fabulous colors & shades and more bold and long lasting pigments. There is definitely a new era at the Estée Lauder house. Turned me into a loyal fan.

Pure Color Velvet lipstick in Nude Velvet which is matte yet moist and perfect with smoky eyes. If you’re into matte lipsticks this one is brilliant.

Red Velvet lipstick..the classic red and matte. I LOVE this lipstick and shade. I apply just a little bit with my fingers as a stain or with a lip brush for a heavier or bolder effect. It’s the perfect matte. Great lipstick.

Top to Bottom: Pure Color Eye shadow Duo in Modern Mercury and my very favorite Black Chrome (it looks blue here in the pic but it looks black in real life maybe it has blue undertones). This is what I use for smoky eyes. The eye shadow is clean to apply and not too messy like some pigments. Darker eye shadows are better pressed not loose because they are easy to apply and not go all over your face (that happened to me many times with pigments). The effect is bold, sexy, yet clean.

Although Estée Lauder LIMITED EDITION Bronze Goddess Eau Fraîche Skinscent is described as a warm type of perfume in Estée Lauder’s website my verdict is it’s not so warm and more of a sharp citrus. If you’re into that kind of scent it’s perfect for you. However, for my own taste I would come up with yet another Bronze Goddess Limited Edition perfume with an added sweetness and woods to it.  I would make it the ultimate warm sweet/woods summer classic perfume.

NEW YORK, April 6, 2011 – The Estée Lauder brand announced a new collaboration with Aerin Lauder and AERIN LLC, her new luxury lifestyle brand, the formation of which was announced earlier that day.

Under the arrangement, Ms. Lauder will continue to be actively involved in the Estée Lauder brand, serving as creative consultant and becoming its Style and Image Director. She will also continue as the brand’s global ambassador and spokesperson, a position she has held successfully for many years. Ms. Lauder will also remain a member of The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. Board of Directors, which she joined in 2004.

The Estée Lauder brand will be the exclusive beauty partner to AERIN LLC in launching a beauty line under the AERIN name to be sold at select Estée Lauder counters. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. AERIN LLC is a stand-alone company wholly owned by Aerin Lauder.

Ms. Lauder said, “I’m thrilled to continue playing an active role in the iconic Estée Lauder brand, including serving as global brand ambassador and spokesperson. At the same time, I look forward to pursuing my vision to create the AERIN brand.
