Indian actress Freida Pinto has been on the Mumbai modeling circuit for many years; however, most know her best for her debut film role as Latika in Slumdog Millionaire. Since the highly regarded film was released in 2008, Freida has won an Academy Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and a Palm Springs International Film Festival Award. In addition to these honors, she is also frequently listed in the media as one of the world’s best-dressed and most beautiful people. Below is a step-by-step guide to recreating this effortlessly glamorous makeup look with THEVI cosmetics.

Face: The first step to recreating Freida’s look above is to apply your THEVI Liquid Mineral Foundation with SPF 15 as needed to smooth out any flaws, leaving a clean, fresh face. Next, add color to the face with THEVI Mineral Finishing Powder Duo in Mocha Mates. For this particular look, it is best to apply this product in a “3” starting at the middle of the forehead, curving out down to just below the cheekbone, and curving out once more down to the chin. Highlight by adding a touch of the lighter shade right on the cheekbones.

Eyes: Begin by applying a base eye shadow, such as THEVI’s Matte Shadow in Cameo, all over the eyelids from the lashes up to the brow. Second, line the eyes along the upper eyelashes, as well as the area just above the lower eyelashes, from the outer corner to the inner corner with THEVI Automatic Long Lasting Eye Liner in Onyx. Third, apply THEVI Matte Shadow in Dark Brown to the eyelid from the base of the eyelashes up to the crease of the eye, blending the existing eyeliner up into the shadow. Fourth, blend the medium shade of THEVI’s Triple Split Eye Shadow in Bistro over the dark brown shadow, as well as just above the crease to lift the eye. Finish the eyes off with two coats of THEVI Lush Mascara, wiggling from the base of the lashes out to the ends for ultimate length.

Lips: It is essential to finish off the look with a glossy, intense pout. Start by applying a small amount of THEVI Liquid Mineral Foundation with SPF 15 around the outer edges of the lip. Next, play connect the dots with your THEVI Automatic Long-lasting Lip Liner in Port by dotting the two upper points of your top lip, the middle of your bottom lid, the corners of your mouth, then connecting everything in between. Last, apply one coat of THEVI High Impact Lipstick in Drama, then blot and repeat for ultimate wearing power.

A couple of hours before the Opening Ceremony of the 62nd Cannes Festival, Freida PINTO and Evangeline LILLY are joining Elizabeth BANKS as the newest World Spokespeople for L’ORÉAL PARIS. BANKS was recently introduced in the United States as a new L’Oréal Paris spokesperson in December 2008.

“On the eve of the Cannes Festival, to which I want to reiterate our attachment, L’Oréal Paris is delighted that these great stars of world cinema have agreed to represent our brand,” states Jean-Jacques Lebel, President L’Oréal Consumer Products.

The sublime FREIDA PINTO was discovered by Danny Boyle in SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE, the film that won eight Oscars. After Julian Schnabel’s movie which she is currently shooting, she will be filming this summer in Woody Allen’s next film, as part of an impressive cast. “I am very moved to be joining the great L’Oréal Paris family and all these personalities: a family I am now proud to be a part of” says Freida.

EVANGELINE LILLY came to our notice in LOST. Her character “Kate” also won her a nomination for the 2007 Golden Globe Awards as Best Actress in a Drama Series. For her first venture into films, she co-stars with John Malkovich and Romain Duris in an adaptation of Guillaume Musso’s novel AFTERWARDS. Evangeline is a politically committed actress. When she was very young she was drawn to humanitarian projects, and then founded a committee for the world development of Human Rights at university. ELIZABETH BANKS, who was recently announced in the United States as a L’Oréal Paris spokesperson in December 2008, is one of the most versatile actresses in Hollywood, as witness her full list of achievements in the last year. She appeared in Oliver Stone’s W, a film where she played the First Lady Laura Bush, as well as the comedy ROLE MODELS. Banks has recently signed on to star in THE DETAILS opposite James McAvoy. Through her company Brownstone Productions, she will produce and star in the Universal comedy FOREVER 21 and upcoming will also star in WHAT WERE WE THINKING opposite Leslie Mann. How to get Sarah Jessica Parker’s Oscars 2009 red carpet makeup look: The most important aspect to the celebrity look is flawless skin. Christina recommends beginning by lightly evening your complexion using the Jouer luminizing moisture tint followed by the Jouer age-repairing brightner where necessary, around the eyes, the nose and the corners of the mouth, follow by a light dusting of the Jouer mineral face powder. Christina then recommends applying a light peach or pink blush to the apple of the cheek for a fresh, youthful glow.

For the eyes, she recommends drawing a thick line on the top and bottom eyelid with Jouer’s eye definer “Noir”. Using a large flat eye brush, Christina recommends applying the Jouer’s powder eyeshadow “caviar” – a shimmering navy charcoal, to the lid of the eyes, compliment with “truffle” – a matte platinum grey on the crease of the eye, followed by “parfait” – shimmering deep lavender on the brow line. Follow the look with two coats of the Jouer mascara “black” to both the top and bottom lashes.

How to create Freida’s radiant red carpet makeup look:

Eyes: Jeffrey used a thick green liner with flecks of gold. Skin: To get Freida’s sunkissed look, Jeffrey mixed together foundation and concealer and only used on key spots to blend outward for a soft effect. The Jouer crème highlighter was used on the brow bone and cheek bones to add additional definition and shimmer.

Lips: Jeffrey finished the look using the Jouer crème highlighter matched with the Jouer monsoon gloss. The golden tone of the highlighter accentuated the natural pink color of her lips while the sheer deep wine gloss was the perfect compliment.
