Jouer Cosmetics was delighted to partner with kate spade new york for their Fall 2012 presentation. To complement the Ready-to-Wear collection with its rich hues, playful prints and Parisian influence, Jouer Cosmetics created a classic, clean look this season with a romantic edge.

Jouer Cosmetics Partners with kate spade new york for Fall 2012

The look featured a clean and luminous complexion with natural, rosy cheeks and a light Orchid Tint stained lips. The focus for Fall was on the eyes, which were kept dark, smoky and mysterious.

Application

To achieve the Autumn/Winter 2012 kate spade new york look, the Jouer Cosmetics team prepped the models’ skin with Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint, followed by the Age-Repairing Perfector to ensure extra coverage on targeted areas. Where needed, Jouer Cosmetics’ Age-Repairing Concealer was used to cover any blemishes or dark circles. For a dewy look, Age-Repairing Brightener was applied above the cheek bones and around the eyes. Mineral Face Powder was the final step for the face, setting the makeup and minimizing shine in the t-zone.

To create the light, smoky eye, Amaretto Powder Eyeshadow was the key component. The product was firstly used on the lower part of the eye lid. To smoke-out the look, Cappuccino Powder Eyeshadow was applied in the crease bringing drama to the eyes, yet still keeping it wearable. Noir Eye Definer was added to subtly sharpen the top and bottom eye lids followed by a sweep of Amaretto Powder Eyeshadow on the bottom lid to continue the smudged and smoky effect. Noir Mascara was lastly swept onto lashes completing the eyes and the brows were strengthened with Brow Definer to create a fuller look and frame the face.

Lastly, Rose Mineral Powder Blush was used on the apples of the cheeks. Blending outwards, the natural flush of the cheeks was accentuated. The look’s final touch was a pop of Orchid Tint on the lips, leaving a natural rose stain.

TRESemmé Stylist Jeanie Syfu created a gorgeous undone side bun for Rebecca Minkoff’s Fall 2012 runway show. To complement the designer’s collection including a mix of leather, fur, sequins and knits, Jeanie created a very chic and relaxed low bun to bring femininity to the strong silhouettes of the collection.

HAIRSTYLE

A chic, relaxed side bun that was textured, yet feminine.

The mix of textures, rich colors and strong silhouettes with a menswear influence called for a style that balanced the look and added a touch of femininity, with just enough edge.

Rebecca Minkoff New York Fashion Week Fall 2012

Relaxed Low Bun

How-To:

1. Create a deep side part and prep damp hair with TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Root Boosting Spray. Apply throughout hair from roots to ends

2. Diffuse hair on high heat

3. Repeat steps 1 & 2 – apply TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Root Boosting Spray from roots to ends and diffuse hair. Be sure to layer the product to create a natural, rough texture

4. Apply a dime size amount of TRESemmé Smooth & Silky Anti-Frizz Secret Crème throughout hair to give definition

5. Gather hair into a loose pony on one side, fastening elastic midway down the pony, leaving the heavier side of the face-framing part loose and undone

6. Twist hair into a messy side bun, fastening with hair pins as you go

7. Loosely gather pieces from the heavier side of the part and pin into bun

8. To finish, lightly spritz with TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Finishing Spray

Tools:

• Blow dryer

• Diffuser

• Clips, elastic, bobby and hair pins

• Teasing comb and brush

• Spray bottle

• Mason Pearson brush

Rose Byrne revealed a whole new look on the red carpet tonight at the 2012 SAG Awards. Rose’s stylist and John Frieda International Creative Consultant Harry Josh says that her new look is “70′s inspired with a modern twist. Think Michelle Pfeiffer in Scarface meets a modern day Anna Wintour.”

How to get Rose Byrne’s hairdo at the 2012 SAG Awards

“It’s the epitome of chic, just like Rose.” – Harry Josh

Here is how Harry styled Rose’s new 70′s inspired bob to go with her chic white Elie Saab jumpsuit for the red carpet:

Step 1 – Saturate the Roots with a Volumizer

“I needed to get a lot of lift at the roots. Without that, the look would just fall flat,” says Harry. On wet hair, he applied tons of John Frieda Full Repair Root Lift Foam ($6.99) which not only gave him the weightless lift that he needed, but also helped to protect against damage caused by heat styling.

Step 2 – Protect the ends

Harry applied the Full Repair Perfect Ends Deep Infusion ($9.99) to smooth the ends and make sure they looked healthy and groomed since her new cut is so blunt.

Step 3 – Blow Dry with a Round Brush

Section by section, Harry used a natural bristle brush and angled the blow dryer down to get maximum shine.

Step 4 – Place Velco Rollers at the Crown

Harry used the rollers to lock in the volume.

How To Get Katherine Heigl’s Hairdo

At the premiere on January 24, 2012 in New York, celebrity hairstylist David Babaii created her red carpet look using Grace Kelly as his inspiration. To transform your tresses from brown to a “Hollywood Blonde” David recommends using the professional hair color Aquarly 20/20 by IT&LY HAIRFASHION to achieve a long-lasting, natural and healthy looking shade.

To create this Grace Kelly inspired look, David started with IT&LY’S Advanced Color Protection Shampoo and Conditioner. After gently towel drying, he applied a small amount of Miracle Oil Hair Elixir by David Babaii for its intense conditioning benefits, superior color preservation and thermal protection. Next, after blow drying, he used a medium sized curling iron creating curls and directing them off the face and under. To style, David lightly back brushed the fringe area for some height and smoothed this lightly with a medium paddle brush. He continued the style by using his fingers to loosen the curls into soft waves and drawing all the hair into a loose chignon toward the back of the head and securing with silver coated bobby pins. David finished the style with IT&LY HAIRFASHION’S Pure Definition Hair Spray.

Hairstylist Marcus Francis worked with Kirsten Dunst for the premiere of Bachelorette at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival on Monday, January 23rd. TM & Marta Walsh has the scoop on how Marcus created Kirsten’s textured braided look.

Kirsten Dunst Hairstyle Inspiration

“The look at the Sundance film festival is about being comfortable, warm, with your own touch of effortless style. With the heavy snow that day, we both thought the hair should be worn up and with lots of texture to work with the elements outside. Because braids work so well with Kirsten’s style and face shape, a version of a Heidi braid would suit her for the premiere.”

How to get Kirsten Dunst’s hairdo

“Prep the hair with a volumizer like Phyto Volume Actif Spray throughout the hair to build a thickness in the texture. Rough dry with your hands while blow drying. Make a deep side part and section off to start a reverse French braid (aka corn row) along the hairline, all the way around the head. Stop the braid behind the ear on the same side as your part. Take the remaining hair on the opposite side and twist back until it joins with the braid. Keep twisting to form a loose undone roll. Use a variety of large and small hair pains to secure throughout the braid and loose roll. To get a dusty matte finish, spray Rene Furterer Naturia Dry Shampoo throughout the hair, and pull out a few loose pieces in front to frame your face. This look can be a little tricky to do on your own – ask a friend help you out to sport this braided style!”

“For Sigourney Weaver’s Sundance premiere I prepped her skin with Patyka Huile Absolue Face & Body Serum to add hydration to the skin before applying liquid foundation.” In the cold weather skin can get more dry, especially after makeup.

“For under eyes, prep with Patyka’s Biokaliftin Radiant Eye Contour which add hydrations so your concealer won’t crease.”

To keep the rest of the body glowing in cold Sundance weather, I gently massaged Patyka’s Precious Wood Body Oil. Which will add hydration and leave skin glowing.

MICHELLE WILLIAMS AT THE 2012 GOLDEN GLOBES

CHANEL CELEBRITY MAKEUP ARTIST ANGELA LEVIN. Inspiration: Angela created this classic beauty look on Michelle Williams, stating “my inspiration was a gorgeous Golden Globe winner!!”

How-To Get Michelle Williams Makeup Look

Angela started the makeup application with cleaning the skin with CHANEL Lotion Douceur Gentle Hydrating Toner using a sponge instead of cotton. She then applied a thin layer of CHANEL Ultra Correction Lift Intensive Lifting Concentrate on her face, Angels Makeup Collagen Treatment under her eyes, and placed CHANEL Sublimage La Creme Texture Supreme on her cheeks and neck.

For this red carpet makeup look Angela applied CHANEL Vitalumiere Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Makeup SPF 15 in Beige-Pastel on the face and eye lids, as a base. On the eyes, she used the grey shadow shades from the CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow in Smoky Eyes to create a light smoky effect on the upper lid, then adding CHANEL Long-Lasting Eyeliner in Black Shimmer to the top lash. Angela then defined the brows with CHANEL Sculpting Eyebrow Pencil in Blond Clair and added two coats of CHANEL Inimitable Mascara in Noir on the top and bottom lashes. On Michelle’s cheeks she applied CHANEL Powder Blush in Rose Ecrin that gave a perfect flush, and completed the look with CHANEL Rouge Coco Hydrating Crème Lip Colour in Perle.

How-To Get Jessica Biel’s Makeup Look

“I started Jessica’s look by applying CHANEL Vitalumiere Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Makeup SPF 15 in Beige-Sable to her face, setting it with CHANEL Natural Finished Pressed Powder in Natural, and adding CHANEL Powder Blush in In Love to the cheeks for a healthy glow. I wanted to focus on popping the eyes with brown and taupe shades…I defined the eyes with the deep warm brown and taupe colors from the CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow in Prelude, and applied the shimmery gold/champagne shades as highlights on the lid.
How-To Get Nicole Kidman’s Makeup Look

To start the process, Angela primed Nicole’s face with CHANEL Sublimage Essential Revitalizing Concentrate and CHANEL Hydra Beauty Hydration Protection Radiance Serum. To even out the skin tone, she applied a thin layer of Senna Barely Base in Light, and then a layer of CHANEL Vitalumiere Moisture-Rich Radiance Fluid Makeup SPF 15 in Ivoire. To play up Nicole’s eyes Angela used the taupe shade in the CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow in Lilium all over the lids, followed by the deep green shade to define the upper lash line. She lined under the lower lash line with Face Eyeshadow in Steel, and then the lashes were finished with CHANEL Inimitable Mascara in Noir.
SHAILENE WOODLEY AT THE 2012 GOLDEN GLOBES

CELEBRITY MAKEUP ARTIST GLORIA NOTO. Inspiration: “The inspiration for this look was a young fresh cool girl that didn’t look overly done up but red carpet perfected,” said Noto. “We wanted to keep the look simple and clean since the dress was such a huge statement, and allow Shailene’s natural beauty to shine through.”

How-To Get Shailene Woodley’s Makeup Look

“On her skin I used CHANEL Hydra Beauty Hydration Protection Radiance Serum. I then applied the CHANEL Vitalumiere Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Makeup SPF 15 on her skin with a brush. Focusing on the eyes, I used the CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow in Mystic Eyes, starting out with the lightest color of the Quad and a round tip brush, and buffed it along her top and bottom lash line. I used the darkest color with a smaller stiff brush on the outer edges to give more definition, since we did not use an actual eyeliner pencil. Lots of layers of CHANEL Inimitable Mascara in Noir were applied to Shai’s long eyelashes, top and bottom, and extra on the outer edges.

Soleil Tan de Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base was applied to the contours of her face to give it a natural definition. CHANEL Eclat Lumiere Highlighter Face Pen was used on the high brow bone points as well as the bow of her lip, inner corner of her eyes and above her eyebrow arch to give her a soft natural dewy finish. On her lips was CHANEL Rouge Coco Baume Hydrating Conditioning Lip Balm to prep and CHANEL Rouge Coco Hydrating Crème Lip Colour in Destinee, applied with a brush and blotted to create a sheer lip stain. A tiny hint of CHANEL Powder Blush in Espigle was applied to the apple of the cheek and buffed into the cheekbones.”
