Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are very exciting and an intriguing couple to watch. Seeing them make an appearance in Cannes on the red carpet is a moment I didn’t want to miss. I know, I’m a sucker:)

Angelina Jolie’s makeup look, particularly the red lips, is taken straight from the runways of New York Fashion Week Fall 2009. It reminds me of a MAC makeup look created by artist James Kaliardos for the Ruffian fashion show. “The look is inspired by Carolyn Bessette, it’s young and confident.” James kaliardos.

“It’s a romantic, glamorous feminine look – sculpted and shaped, timeless and classic.” – James Kaliardos

New York Fashion Week Fall 2009 report: I asked James Kaliardos, MAC Lead Makeup Artist, backstage at Luca Luca Fall 2009 fashion show about MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation SPF 15 and why he likes to use it on models to achieve the runway makeup look for the show.
“I really like it…MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation…because it has good coverage and it can also be thinned out so it can be very transparent. It is a very easy product to use.”-James Kaliardos.

Thanks to the editors of DailyMakeover.com we bring you the scoop about the makeup look at Nicole Miller Fall 2009 fashion show.
Eyes were the focus of the beauty look for Nicole Miller at New York Fashion Week Fall 2009. “I wanted to show you can do a colored smokey eye and it can be very wearable and not look weird,” says makeup artist James Kaliardos for MAC who chose to work with dreamy shades of blue.
First, Marine Ultra Paint Stick was applied all over the the lid and up into creases. Next, a lighter Freshwater Eye Shadow was placed on the center of the eyelid and under the lashline. Finally, a deep Atlantic Blue Eye Shadow was swept in crease for depth.
