According to Now Smell This: Jessica Simpson, who as previously reported signed a fragrance deal with Parlux last year, will launch her first fragrance, Fancy Jessica Simpson in August 2008.

According to Jessica Simpson: “With Fancy, I wanted to create a pretty fragrance, one that I could be just as comfortable wearing on the red carpet or every day with my favorite jeans”.

Ms. Simpson reportedly sought “a retro vintage look” and “a romantic and feminine scent”.

The floriental fragrance was developed by perfumer Alexis Dadier, and features notes of pear, apricot nectar, red fruits, gardenia, jasmine, toasted almonds, caramel, sandalwood, vanilla crème and amber crystals.
