Here is how Harry styled Rose’s new 70′s inspired bob to go with her chic white Elie Saab jumpsuit for the red carpet:

Step 1 – Saturate the Roots with a Volumizer

“I needed to get a lot of lift at the roots. Without that, the look would just fall flat,” says Harry. On wet hair, he applied tons of John Frieda Full Repair Root Lift Foam ($6.99) which not only gave him the weightless lift that he needed, but also helped to protect against damage caused by heat styling.

Step 2 – Protect the ends

Harry applied the Full Repair Perfect Ends Deep Infusion ($9.99) to smooth the ends and make sure they looked healthy and groomed since her new cut is so blunt.

Step 3 – Blow Dry with a Round Brush

Section by section, Harry used a natural bristle brush and angled the blow dryer down to get maximum shine.

I recently got to try the NEW John Frieda full repair haircare line and I’m really loving it. Hair Tutorial: How to get Rose Byrne’s hairstyle at the 2010 Emmy Awards by Harry Josh, John Frieda International Creative Consultant. Harry prepped Rose’s hair for one week before the red carpet by prescribing John Frieda’s Root Awakening Health Infusing Shampoo & Conditioner ($6.49 each).

1. Luxurious Volume Bountiful Body Mousse ($6.49) was applied to Rose’s wet hair and then blown out using a boar-bristle brush. The mousse helped Harry achieve high volume hair that would easily mold into the curls he was about to create—and the product gave a great texturized base, which Harry needed to create the look.

2. Harry used a 3/4-inch curling iron throughout her hair and pulled a portion of the curls into a ponytail at the crown of her head. He then pulled her hair into a high bun, pulling out individual curls for a Grecian-inspired style with a modern twist.
