The Avon Beauty Breakthrough Tour is heading across the country, beautifying cities inside and out at every stop. Now in it’s 7th year, The Beauty Breakthrough Tour brings Avon’s unique combination of beauty and technology to women while challenging communities to join forces and raise funds for their local domestic violence agency.

Celebrities like Callie Thorn of FX! Network’s Rescue Me; Keisha Whitaker, model/actress and wife of the Academy Award Winner Forrest Whitaker; Lauren “Lo” Bosworth, star of the hit MTV series, The Hills have all done their part by signing their own Wishing Wall Cards. The cards will be on view at every city stop.

Making 12 stops from coast to coast from September to November 2008 stopping in cities like Chicago, Birmingham, Tulsa and Phoenix, the 1,600 square foot Beauty Pavilion is manned by a team of Avon Representatives and led by Beauty Expert Julie Kalvaitas. The tour gives women the opportunity to experience Avon’s advanced products firsthand, from the brand’s groundbreaking ANEW anti-aging collection to its wide range of cutting edge lip formulas.

Within the Beauty Pavilion, a large Wishing Wall is erected at each stop where locals are invited to stop by and sign a Wishing Wall Card with their wish for a better tomorrow. Each person who signs a Wishing Wall Card will be entered to win $500 to make their wish come true. In addition, Avon is challenging each city to come together to support the fight against domestic violence in their community. The city that collects the most Wishing Wall Cards at the end of The Avon Beauty Breakthrough Tour will win a $20,000 donation from Avon for local organization.

Highlights of the Beauty Pavilion include:

ANEW Skincare Bars: Skincare consultations, featuring ANEW Skincare, allowing women the opportunity to experience anti-aging skincare brand first hand, while learning how to fight all stages of the aging process through personalized skincare consultations.

Lip Service Stations: Women are invited to receive a complimentary lip makeover and learn expert tips for lips at one of the many Lip Service Stations, featuring Ultra Color Rich Mousse Lipstick, Glazewear Liquid Lip Color and Avon’s breakthrough Pro-To-Go Lipstick – the only lipstick that combines luscious color, and hydrating lip care, into one fabulous lipstick that you can open, apply and close with one hand.

MTV’s The Hills’ Lauren “Lo” Bosworth Gets a Boost at the John Frieda See for Yourself Salon.

To get her hair camera-ready, Lauren “Lo” Bosworth from MTV’s hit show The Hills stopped by the John Frieda See for Yourself Salon, where the top stylists behind editorial shoots and celebrity hairstyles are transforming real women’s hair before their eyes. At the tour’s Venice Beach stop on July 28th, Lo sat down with Harry Josh, hair guru and Creative Consultant for the John Frieda Collection, to talk about what she could do at home to get a volume boost.
