TM and Marta Walsh has got the word that Riccardo Tisci for The House of Givenchy ”…designed all costumes worn by Madonna during her half time performance at the Superbowl on February 5th, 2012 in Indianapolis.

Madonna in Givenchy Haute Couture at Superbowl 2012 half time show Indianapolis, USA

Designed as part of the spectacle, all costumes were changed on stage, from an all over hand-embroidered gold cape that served as the performance’s opener, to the unveiling of a black mini dress worn with its hand-studded belt and an embellished black coat that completed the three costumes set : Madonna’s legendary music met Riccardo Tisci’s codes in what seemed to be the most perfect way.

Channeling Riccardo Tisci’s work for Givenchy in the past years, the designs for Madonna’s Superbowl performance incorporate signature references such as bold leopard print, three-dimensional embellishments, graphic placements and evocative cuts. Following my collaboration with Madonna on her last tour three years ago, it is a great honor for me to be a part of yet another historical and iconic moment.

People say everything has a limit, but limits do not exist with Madonna. I am so happy that, after being busy in other scenes, she decided to go back on a music stage. Not only to bring us Music, but also to make such a statement of Performance and Fashion.-Riccardo Tisci

Wearing Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci, Madonna performed a 12 minutes set including some of her greatest hits (“Vogue”, “Music”, “Express yourself”) and her brand new single (“Give me all your luvin’” featuring Nicki Minaj and M.I.A.) for the first time.

Gold cape all over hand-embroidered with gold metal cut out pieces, studs, crystals, sequins and paillettes, lined in leopard-print chiffon. Black mini dress in silk cady, worn with leopard print short cape in silk charmeuse hand-embroidered with gold metal cut out pieces, studs, crystals, sequins and paillettes and a black python hand-studded and hand-embroidered belt with its removable matching flaps. Black coat in silk cady hand-embroidered with shiny black rectangular sequins and micro pearls. Gold metal hat hand-embroidered with crystals. All worn with hand embroidered nappa leather gloves.”

TM & Marta Walsh has got the confirmation that…Coty Prestige will be launching global icon Madonna’s first fragrance in April 2012, called Truth or Dare by Madonna.

Madonna to Launch First Fragrance Truth or Dare by Madonna

COTY INC. ANNOUNCES AGREEMENT WITH MADONNA’S MG ICON

Madonna stated to Women’s Wear Daily, “I have always been obsessed by fragrance and for years wanted to create something personal that was an expression of me but that other people could relate to as well. Something honest, and yet daring, hence the name Truth or Dare.”

Global icon to launch her first fragrance, Truth or Dare by Madonna

NEW YORK, November 4, 2011 – Coty Prestige, a division of Coty Inc., announced today that it signed an agreement with MG Icon LLC, a joint venture between Madonna, Guy Oseary, and Iconix Brand Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: ICON), to launch the icon’s first fragrance. The fragrance, Truth or Dare by Madonna, will debut exclusively at Macy’s in April 2012 in the United States, with global distribution beginning in May.

The agreement with Coty marks the first time Madonna, the top selling female recording artist of all time, with more than 300 million records sold worldwide, will launch a fragrance.

“Madonna is the marquis addition to Coty’s unrivaled brand portfolio and further establishes us as cutting edge leaders in the global beauty industry,” Bernd Beetz, CEO, Coty Inc said. “We are thrilled to embark on this new venture with Madonna, a global icon with unprecedented star power and cultural relevance.”

Madonna will be featured in a global print, television, and online marketing campaign produced in collaboration with Fabien Baron of Baron & Baron who she has worked with on many projects including “Sex,” her renowned 1992 pictorial essay on sexuality.

“Madonna is an artistic phenomenon whose vision has helped define the cultural zeitgeist for nearly three decades. Her fans around the world have an unparalleled devotion and will be eager to experience a unique, and more personal, materialization of her talent,” Michele Scannavini, President, Coty Prestige said.

Truth or Dare by Madonna will be a signature floral fragrance. Its unique blend of narcotic florals, balanced with addictive woods and vanilla, creates a scent that is timeless, yet contemporary, simultaneously dark and light. The bottle plays up the Truth or Dare duality – a classic and sophisticated shape, with modern and edgy detailing.

The scent will be available in a 75ml EDP ($68 / €62), 50ml EDP ($55 / €46), 30ml EDP ($39 / €35), Body Lotion ($28 / €22), and Shower Gel ($24 / €21).

“Madonna is a globally recognized music and style pioneer. The debut of her first fragrance is a dynamic platform to launch her lifestyle brand, Truth or Dare by Madonna,” commented Neil Cole, CEO, Iconix Brand Group. “Coty is a respected leader in the prestige fragrance industry. Their expertise coupled with Madonna’s iconic status is a powerful partnership.”

Hourglass Artistic Director Gina Brooke did Madonna’s makeup for this evening’s “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty” Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. “The Met Ball is one of fashion’s biggest nights out, and I wanted Madonna’s look to be elegant, timeless and absolutely luminous – inspired by 1930s glamour. The focus is flawless skin and ravishing eyes—Madonna’s gorgeous eyes and lashes are among her best attributes—which always resonate on the red carpet,” says Gina Brooke.

Madonna at the 2011 Met Gala in Stella McCartney dress and Cartier jewelry

How to get Madonna’s makeup look:

Skin:

Prep skin first with Intraceuticals Rejuvenate Daily Serum to increase vital moisture and visibly revive the complexion. Follow with Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer, a must-have product for any event because it ensures that makeup lasts all night. It also neutralizes the skin, reduces the appearance of fine lines and pores and enables an artist to paint the perfect canvas.

Brows:

Enhance the brows with Revlon’s ColorStay Brow Enhancer in Light Brown. A beautiful set of arches always helps the eyes pop.

Eyes:

Apply the three lightest shades from Cle de Peau Eye Color Quad #20 on the lid, crease and brow. Blend with fingers to reduce any obvious demarcation. Follow with Hourglass Film Noir Full Spectrum Mascara on the lashes. Pump up the drama with Hourglass Film Noir Lash Lacquer. Launching this fall 2011, this sensational new top coat elevates lashes to another level, adding volume, length and extreme shine.

Foundation:

For a dewy, fresh-faced complexion, use Hourglass Illusion Tinted Moisturizer. I like to mix two shades, Shell and Ivory, for the perfect match on Madonna.

Cheeks: Apply Temptu Air Pod Blush in Pale Pink. I love the soft-focus effect of the air-brush technology.

Lips: Fill in the lips with Chanel Precision Lip Definer in Nude—it helps to ensure the longevity of your lipstick—and follow with Hourglass Femme Rouge Velvet Crème lipstick in Icon. The color complements Madonna’s Stella McCartney dress and Cartier jewelry so wonderfully.

In the first case the chosen piece is a corset embellished with multi-coloured stones and charms, which became iconic when worn by Madonna at the 1991 “Truth or Dare” premiere in New York.

Continuing in the footsteps of the first part of the exhibition, “Histoire Idéale de la Mode Contemporaine” aims to draft a path and synthesis analysis of some of fashion’s main personalities, whose taste and aesthetic affected the style of two decades, that between 1970 and 1980, and that between 1990 and 2000.

Dolce & Gabbana will be represented with two creations extracted from, respectively, the collections “Le Pin Up” (Autumn/Winter 1991-’92) and “New Sexy Glam” (Spring/Summer 2007).

The makeup artist believes in radiant looking skin without too much sparkle—even during the holiday season. “I like fresh, beautiful makeup all year round,” she says. “That said the holidays are the perfect time to make a statement.” Here’s how to pull it off elegantly.

• “When it comes to chic cheeks, I have a three-dimensional approach that anyone can replicate at home.

Firstly, I “warm” the skin by applying bronzer to the high points of the face. Secondly, I add “light” to the complexion by using a highlighter on the apples of the cheeks, down the bridge of the nose and the jaw bone. Lastly, I “color” with blush applied strategically to the apples of the cheeks—smile when you’re doing so for the ideal application. The result is a flawless looking complexion.”

Recommended products: Illume Crème-to-Go Powder in Sunset and Bronze Light, Brush #2

• “Hold the neutrals. Why not try dramatic eyes for an evening event? Nothing says nighttime glamour like a metallic smoky eye. Choose a shadow duo with a black and a metal shade like gunmetal gray, silver or bronze. Using a shadow brush, apply the lighter shade first. Use your finger to blend for a graduation of color. Then apply the dark shade, but avoid applying the black shadow all the way across to the inner corner of the eyes—it makes your eyes seem bigger that way. Blend the two colors together.”

Recommended products: Visionaire Eye Shadow Duo in Prism, Brush #3 and #4

• “I love bold, red lips, and if you haven’t experimented with their power, now is the time to do so. Red instantly transforms the face for an immediately polished look. Start with a neutral liner first. Don’t just fill in the lines. Use the liner over the entire lips to create a base for your lipstick. Using a lip brush, apply the lipstick from the outer corner to the inner corner, and repeat from the other side. Pair your rouge lips with smoky eyes for a gorgeous classic look.” (See first face chart)

Recommended products: Femme Rouge Velvet Crème Lipstick in Icon or Raven, Trace Lip Liner in Bare

• “Gold is an undeniably festive color and the perfect choice to celebrate the season. An easy combination is to pair a gold shimmering eye shadow with a bright coral lip gloss—it’s a sultry look that flatters all skin tones. (See face chart) You could also heighten the impact of the gold shadow by wetting your brush before application. This technique is called “foiling” and it creates a gilded effect on the eyes. Make sure the shadow dries before moving on to another shade.”

Recommended products: Visionaire Eye Shadow Duo in Dune, Brush #3, Femme Rouge Velvet Crème Lipstick in Muse

• “To ensure your makeup lasts all night, always remember to prep skin with a primer first. It will ensure a flawless and long-lasting makeup application, and will also lock in moisture, which is ideal for cold weather. In addition, using a primer will help the foundation glide on smoothly and blend easily. Look for a luxurious foundation with anti-aging and light-diffusing ingredients.”

Recommended products: Veil Mineral Primer, Illusion Tinted Moisturizer

• “If you are going to a party where you will be photographed, I always recommend this trick from the Golden Age of Hollywood: Put a thin layer of Vaseline on your teeth to avoid lipstick transferring onto them. Another good trick from that era is to dab concealer on the outer corners of the mouth to create a lifting effect that makes you look like you’re slightly smiling all the time.”

Recommended products: Hidden Corrective Concealer

I’m a Madonna fan and admire her incredible never ending youthful spirit and energy. However, aging catches up with the best of us and her hands are showing their true age. How to deal with aging hands? Well, one option is to wear gloves like Madonna did here in her concert. Dermatologist to the Stars, Dr. Lawrence Moy, who performs cutting-edge Anti-Aging Treatments for the Hands explains!

As women age, they lose fat in their hands. The tendons on the back of the hands are more visible. Years of sun exposure reveal themselves as brown spots and discoloration. Finally, loss of collagen results in less resilience, fine lines and wrinkles. With anti-aging products/treatments for the hands getting a lot of attention in the health/beauty industry today, Dr. Moy weighs in with his popular 3-pronged approach to successfully treat aging hands:

1. Skin Lighteners-Moy suggests a product from his own line of skin formulations featuring Kojic Acid and Salicylic Acid – both effective skin lightening agents with no side effects (Brighten Up). A sunblock must be used during the day to prevent further sun damage from occuring. Moy recommends a UVA/UVB product such as Neutrogena’s Norwegian Formula Age Shield Hand Cream, SPF 30.

2. Lasers-Moy gets results with the Intense Pulse Light laser. He uses a 4th generation system with greater success than previous versions. The IPL laser produces beautiful results for the treatment of discoloration and brown spots, while improving skin’s texture. Finally, Moy urges the use of a skin-lightening product in conjunction with laser treatments for even better results.

3. Fillers-Moy reports higher demand for this procedure (in the hands, specifically) recently. He prefers Sculptra, which stimulates the formation of new collagen, restores volume and produces a more youthful appearance. Typically, it takes 3-5 treatments every 4-6 weeks. The healing process is quick and results are subtle and ‘real’ looking.
