There is something to be said about a woman who conquered New York University’s STERN School of Business, worked on Wall Street and left it all behind to start a beauty blog.

Meet Marta Walsh.

Growing up in Israel, and later moving to New York City, Walsh has taken her love for everything beauty and turned it into a website that Glam.com named “One of the best blogs in the United States.”

You have interviewed a lot of great celebs. Who was your favorite interview of all time?

This is quite a difficult question. The whole experience of connecting over the phone with the celebrity and learning about them is very fascinating to me. So, I enjoyed them all: Khloe Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Audrina Patridge, Jay Manuel, Giuliana Rancic, Vanessa Williams, Kendra Wilkinson, Bethenny Frankel, Natasha Bedingfield and Heidi Klum, just to name a few. Rumor on the street is that my favorite Hollywood beauty Natalie Portman night be marrying fiance Benjamin Millepied soon and is also pregnant. Well if news are true than Mazal Tov!

Natalie Portman has been named as the new face of Dior, with her first campaign to be for Miss Dior Cherie. Portman will be featured in a print advertisement by Tim Walker and a commercial shot by “Lost in Translation” director Sofia Coppola.

Did you know Natalie Portman was born in Jerusalem, Israel, where I also grew up:)

Natalie Portman’s hair. Natalie Portman looked like a classic Hollywood star tonight at the New York Premiere of her new film “Black Swan.” Wearing a glamorous black Dior off the shoulder dress and gorgeous, full-bodied wavy hair, she dazzled the red carpet.

The look was designed by her stylist John D., who, though tempted to do an elegant updo, succumbed to the glamour of the dress and created a look that accented the its sense of drama and sensuous silhouette.

“The hair was beautiful, and helped balance the total look,” said John D.,

“especially since the bottom of the dress was so full. I started with argan oil-infused Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream then blow dried the hair smooth using a round brush to give it ‘oomph’ at the root. I used Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream for its soft hold and hydration. Natalie has naturally curly hair and it needs extra moisture to look its best. “I then used a 1″ curling iron, and starting at the back of her head, I curled round sections all over her head to set the volume in, curling back from the face in the front. After her hair cooled, I used one of my tricks: I sprayed a paddle brush with hairspray and used it to separate and loosen the hair. This also tames the curls at the same time. I completed the lookwith a touch of hairspray to give it extra hold. With Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray, I find that I can brush through the hair several times and it gives no residue. It looks naturally shiny and still moves. Finally, I gave used a light mist of Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine Spray to finish.”

Natalie Portman’s Hairstyle: Natalie Portman’s new movie “Black Swan” may be getting big buzz, but it was her look at last night’s, September 12th, 2010, Toronto Independent Film Festival red carpet premiere that had everyone talking. As a stark contrast to the structured bun she wore in the film, Nexxus Creative Director Kevin Mancuso choose to create soft, feminine waves to complement her black and white Jason Wu dress.

Kevin, who has worked with A-listers like Emma Roberts, Blake Lively, Naomi Watts and Taylor Swift, shares with Marta Walsh his tips for recreating Natalie’s hairdo at home: “I wanted to bring out the natural, organic beauty of Natalie’s hair,” said Mancuso “so I went for touchable texture and a feminine silhouette.”

PREP:

· Shampoo and condition hair with volumizing products, like Nexxus Diametress Shampoo and Sublime Volume Conditioner, to give hair extra body.

· Apply a curl enhancing mousse, like Nexxus Gorgeous Curls, all over, combing through to ends.

STYLE:

· After blow-drying with a diffuser, smooth ends with a round brush and transfer warm hair to large Velcro rollers.

· Once cool, remove rollers and tousle hair with fingers, before creating a soft side part.

· Use a medium barrel curling iron to create curls around the face.

· Continue to create curls around the back of hair, concentrating on the bottom half of hair.

· After hair cools, tousle again with fingers to release the curls and create more of a ‘wave’ effect.

FINISH:

· Apply a dime-size amount of a taming lotion like, Nexxus Sleek Finish, to fingers and gently run over hair to help define and control waves.

· Finish with a light misting of hairspray, like Nexxus Comb Thru, for hold with movement.

For a second year in a row, red-carpet darling Natalie Portman has tapped celebrity stylist and Nexxus Creative Director Kevin Mancuso to create her award season hairstyles. Last night, Kevin gave Natalie Portman a flawless updo for the exclusive and star-studded Vanity Fair party.

“I really wanted to give her a Bridget Bardot meets Audrey Hepburn style,” said Mancuso, “there’s nothing like an old Hollywood style for a young Hollywood actress!”

How to get Natalie Portman’s Vanity Fair 2010 Academy Awards party hairdo:

Kevin Mancuso – who brought you the celebrity hair bible, The Mane Thing, and worked on such a-list names as Sienna Miller, Blake Lively, Naomi Watts and Taylor Swift – offers his tips for recreating Natalie’s red carpet style at home:

PREP:

· Shampoo and condition hair with body building products, such as Nexxus Diametress and Sublime Volume, to help give hair lift.

STYLE:

· Apply a volumizing spray gel, like Nexxus Lavish Body, from roots to ends, then blow-dry with a paddle brush, directing hair up and away from face and lifting at the root.

· When roots are almost dry, switch to a round brush and blow-dry ends, smoothing as you go.

· While hair is still warm, transfer one-inch sections to Velcro rollers and let completely cool, then remove and tousle hair with a bit of smoothing lotion, such as Nexxus Sleek Finish.

· Remove a one-inch front section of hair and then pull the rest gently back into a mid-level ponytail, securing with an elastic.

· Use bobbi pins to artfully sculpt loose ends into a soft updo.

FINISH:

· Use a flat iron to smooth front curl and help position hair around face, then finish look with a light misting of a hairspray, like Nexxus Comb Thru.

Beautiful actress Natalie Portman is featured on the cover of ELLE UK February 2010. I always say that if I ever had to come back as an actress in my next life, I would like to be like Miss Natalie Portman. Why? She is stunning, amazing actress, and she even went to Harvard. Talking about the “Total Package”. And yes, another reason why I have a warm fuzzy feeling about Natalie, she was born in Israel where I grew up.

Matrix celeb stylist Mark Townsend styled Natalie Portman for the Gotham Awards on Monday night and she looked amazing!!

To get Natalie Portman’s asymmetrical side bun for the 19th annual Gotham Independent Film Awards, Matrix celebrity stylist Mark Townsend sprayed Biolage Bodifying Spray Gel in Natalie’s damp hair and blow dried it with a medium round brush. Next, he took 2 to 3 inch sections of hair and sprayed each with Vavoom Gold Heat Iron-In Control, wrapping the hair around a 1 inch curling iron.

“It was a rainy evening so I used the Vavoom Iron-In Control to keep Natalie’s hair from getting frizzy in the humidity. And, to give her hair some extra texture, I took a small amount of Vavoom Design Pulse Glow to Pieces Shine Wax in my hands and then raked it through her hair.” Next, Mark gathered Natalie’s hair into a ponytail behind her left ear and then braided the ponytail and secured it with an elastic at about 2 inches from the ends. Once the braid was secured, heI looped the ponytail around the base and secured it with a few bobby pins. To a glamorous finishing touch, Mark put a bobby pin from Jennifer Behr at the top of the bun.
