New York City, September 30, 2010, 2nd Annual Afghan Hands and Orlane Fundraiser. Marta Walsh is told the event was a huge success! They had over 250 guests and were able to raise $45,000 for Afghan Hands. Notable guests included Claire Danes, Cynthia Nixon, Kelly Bensimon, Jessica Seinfeld, Ryan McGinness, Lara Meiland-Shaw, and Emma Snowdon-Jones.

The event was sponsored by Orlane Paris in memory of Nazaneen Toloui, a former VP of Orlane and the first board member of Afghan Hands. They auctioned off a two-night package at L’Ermitage in Beverly Hills valued at $2,000 and a two-night package at Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur valued at $3253.45, and they took pledges for different levels of support for the women of Afghan Hands.
