Whitney Port was at the Sephora Hollywood and Highland store in Los Angeles to kick off Sephora’s “Kiss for a Cause,” a three week long- initiative to benefit The Beauty Bus Foundation, a Los Angeles-based non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for homebound, terminally or chronically ill people and their primary caregivers by bringing beauty into their lives. This foundation provides in-home beauty and grooming treatments, free of charge, to those who might not otherwise have access, helping them maintain dignity and giving them respite during a difficult time.

During the promotion, Sephora is inviting its clients to try one of fall’s hottest trends, the bold, red lip, and donate their kiss to the in-store collage. Whitney Port was among the first to donate her kiss and add it to the growing mosaic of supporters, choosing Make Up For Ever’s Rouge Artist Intense Lipstick in #43, Moulin Rouge as her favorite shade.

From now until September 15th, 2010, $1 of every qualifying red lip purchase at Sephora will be donated in support of The Beauty Bus Foundation, up to $25,000. Whitney Port’s Makeup: How to get Whitney Port’s “Kiss for a Cause” Look

Sephora PRO Team makeup artist Jill Powell used Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Intense Lipstick in #43, Moulin Rouge as the focus of Whitney Port’s total beauty look, then layered on Fusion LipFusion Infatuation gloss in Screen Siren gloss to add shine. Both are featured shades in the Sephora “Kiss for a Cause” promotion.

This striking lip was balanced with dramatically lined eyes for a glamorous, classic Hollywood look. Sephora Collection Waterproof Smoky Cream Liner in Must Have, a deep, matte black, was applied with a brush in bold strokes over Stila Kitten Eye Shadow, a light, shimmery champagne, creating a sultry doe-eyed effect. Several coats of Sephora Collection Advanced Lash Booster Mascara finished the look. Tarina Tarantino Dollskin Cheek in Charmed added a sheer rosy flush to her cheeks and misted TEMPTU AIR pod™ Highlighter in Champagne to add a hint of illumination. To create the perfect canvas for Whitney’s look, Jill used Josie Maran Tinted Moisturizer and Smashbox Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder.

Hair Stylist Robert Steinken complemented her look with a modern, sophisticated ponytail. He smoothed the hair with No Frizz Styling Cream from Living Proof and pulled it back into a high ponytail with an elastic. He wrapped a small section of hair over the fastening and spritzed with Hold Flexible Hairspray, also from Living Proof.

I just discovered a gorgeous way to get smoky eyes with NARS Single Eye Shadow in Night Breed. The shade: black with silver glitter. The black pigment is pretty strong and you can skip the black eye liner on lower lids. I also use two other eye shadows: MAC Reflects Antique Gold which is part of the MAC Glitter Brilliants collection (your eyes will sparkle like diamonds) and stila kitten eye shadow for highlighting.

I then add MAC Rapidblack Penultimate Eye Liner (a liquid eye liner) and wing out my eyes for a bit of cat eyes. And finish with MAC Studio Fix Lash mascara. The result: dramatic, sexy eyes! To complete my look I add Chris & Tell lipstick by Lancôme which is THE prefect pink coral shade. I’m addicted to Chis & Tell! Every woman should have one pretty red lipstick and one pretty pink coral lipstick such as Lancome’s version.

Katharine McPhee is definitely looking different these days. I call it “The Hollywood Transformation”. First thing you do is dye your hair blonde! Think Marilyn Monroe, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Gwen Stefani, even Lindsay Lohan. Blonde seems to be the ultimate Old Hollywood glamour symbol. And I love how Katharine McPhee waves her hand to fans, very regal or very Hollywood. Even the hairdo is similar to Marilyn Monroe’s: short wavy bob parted to the side. To finish the look: add red lipstick. I approve Katharine McPhee’s new hair color. The questions is: Do you?

Red lipstick is one of the hottest trends this summer. Many trends come and go but red lipstick will always be here. Think of old schooled Hollywood glamour which featured classy and elegant look. So I tried to pull off the old Hollywood glamour look with one of my favorite lip glosses out right now: mark Lip Exotics Lip Lacquer Hook Up in Fever. The lip gloss is fabulous.

mark Lip Exotics Lip Lacquer Hook Up in Fever creates a sexy, wet look with this conditioning, high-shine, opaque gloss featuring a hint of cool spearmint. This lip gloss was the key to creating my vintage Hollywood look. Since red lips are very dramatic, rest of my face was very simple. I kept my eye shadow light and shimmery color, afterwards I lined entire eye with mark On the Edge Hook Up Liquid Eyeliner in Cleo to get that elegant eye look.

I then applied little mascara, kept blush to a natural tone and now I have completed my old Hollywood glamour look!
