I personally like the associations that come to my mind when I think of Hope and Simple Skincare. Hope, as a very accomplished athlete, exhibits a calm, cool and friendly outlook  (and keeps her life simple), just like the brand! Hope as an athlete seems to have a very hectic, busy life, which involves stress of competing, traveling, and constantly keeping her eye on the ball. I can completely relate to that existence simply being me and always pushing and showing up no matter what, and growing my publishing and Real Estate businesses. Not mention I have 2 boys and family. The times I notice a change with the way my skin looks and feels is when I’m stressed. Naturally when I’m stressed I don’t eat as well hence my diet changes. I don’t have the time to have a nice balanced dinner – instead I grab something fast on the go which is not as healthy or enough. Stress can come when working longer hours and also when I travel. My skin begins to feel dry, it looks deflated the opposite of plumped, and ashy grey i.e. lacks glow. Also not drinking enough water can make a huge difference on my skin, it makes it feel dry and tight. In a nut shell my skin can be sensitive.

-Stress can also be a contributing factor in flare-ups of many skin conditions, including eczema or psoriasis. Make sure that you make time each day to stop, relax and unwind. Have a night off and pamper yourself with a face mask and a relaxing bath. You could also take a yoga class or read a book.

-Wash your face twice a day with warm water (not hot!) and a gentle cleanser, especially at the end of the day. Cleansing your skin at bedtime removes substances that clog pores and irritate skin, as well as bacteria that contribute to acne breakouts. Using a mild cleanser will achieve all this without over drying or irritating your skin, leaving you with an even, healthy complexion.

I love my smoky eye and eye makeup. But when the day or party is over it’s time to take it all off. Especially at night I don’t want all that black mascara, eye liner and shimmery eye shadow on my pillow. The quickest, most effective, and gentle way I like to remove my eye makeup is with Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes, which cleanse, refresh and nourish skin.

How To Remove Eye Makeup-My Technique

I take one wipe and use it to remove eye makeup from one eye. I use one separate wipe for each eye, I don’t mix. These Simple facial wipes are super wet, fragrance free and gentle. The magic word here is super moist without being oily and this is why these wipes stand out from the rest.

I had tried facial wipes that are either too dry and smelly, or too moist and super oily to a point that the oil completely fogged my eyes. I take one wipe, close my eyes and wipe the top lid of my eye horizontally until eye makeup is completely removed. The test is in the wipe, even if takes few wipes I like to see my last wipe completely clean. Then I do the same on the lower lids. Then off to the next eye.

After all these wiping I like to comfort my eye with a tiny dab of Simple Soothing Eye Balm, which soothes and relaxes tired eyes.

My favorite drink in the world is no doubt water. It’s what really quenches my thirst, tastes good, and is good for my soul and skin. I try drinking water throughout the day as much as I can and if I skip sometimes when I’m too busy or when traveling I immediately notice the difference in my skin. My skin and lips get dry and uncomfortable and overall my energy level goes down. I even break out and my skin gets super sensitive. To avoid dehydration I simply look after myself, with a good diet, lots of water, and of course the right skincare.

The following simple skincare products help my skin stay hydrated, soothed and glowing. I use Simple Moisturizing Facial Wash in the shower, which moisturizes and cleanses my skin. This is a very gentle cleanser perfect for the days you want to give your skin a break from exfoliating.

After my shower as soon as I feel the water on my face dry, I use either Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes, to cleanse and nourish my face, or Simple Soothing Facial Toner to leave my skin feeling refreshed. If I ever skip this step my sensitive skin gets dehydrated and it gets very difficult to even put a moisturizer on because it seems like all my pores have closed already. This also prepares my skin to add back the moisture with Simple Hydrating Light Moisturizer which is light in texture and easily absorbed by my skin. I think of it almost like a serum. When I’m expecting a major sunny day in Scottsdale, Arizona, where I live, I use Simple Vital Vitamin Day Cream with SPF 15 to moisturize and protect my skin all day. I then use Simple Soothing Eye Balm to soothe and relax my under eye area, and done. I’m ready.

Although I’m a beauty obsessed junkie really I’m a minimalistic in my beauty and skincare routines. By that I mean that I’m always on the look out for simple, gentle, quick, yet effective skincare routines. It’s not how many products I use it’s how good they are.

My top skincare secret for getting my sensitive skin smooth, soft, and glowing is with 2 very easy steps: exfoliating then hydrating. The reason I exfoliate my skin is because without it my skin feels dry, flaky, and even looks darker or ashy to me i.e. dull. Not sure if you knew by now but I love makeup and I like to wear it everyday. I’m one of those gals that doesn’t really have a day-to-night makeup I really love dramatic makeup as soon as I wake up. The smoky eye, the perfectly blushed cheeks, flawless skin, and of course the lip gloss. I do know however that great looking makeup can only look good on great looking skin. And my go-to skincare products are by Simple Skincare.

Great makeup starts with great skincare

For me the biggest thing that makes my skin radiant is when my skin is exfoliated and very hydrated. But there is a catch 22 here, because exfoliating my skin using the wrong skincare products can also sometimes irritate my skin or the product can be too harsh.

This is why I use Simple Skincare in my facial care routine to get my makeup look just perfect. I don’t want to get dry skin after I wash my face, I don’t want to feel that sort of over tingled tight sensation on my skin to a point that it hurts, I don’t want perfumes in my skincare, I just want clean and smooth skin. If you have sensitive skin and in general are sensitive to what you put on your face, then you can relate to me. I can’t stress enough that Simple Skincare is one of the best British imports after the Beatles.

Here is my skincare routine to keep my skin radiant, soothed, and help my makeup application smooth and at the end of the day what makes me feel beautiful.

Once a week in the shower I use  Smoothing Facial Scrub to exfoliate my skin. When it comes to cleansers, Simple Skincare is a winner. They are gentle, but not what I call ‘wimpy’ where you feel it is not working, or, it’s too oily trying to be gentle. The Kind to Skin Smoothing Facial Scrub is clean , gentle, not oily yet hydrating, and fragrance-free.

When I get out of the shower I then use  Soothing Facial Toner, which I really can’t live without. It’s so invigorating for my skin and just really wakes me up and gives me that super clean feeling. Needless to say, my skin at this point is smooth like a baby.

Last step is applying the Replenishing Rich Moisturizer or  Vital Vitamin Day Cream w/ SPF 15, depending if I have a busy day with real estate clients outdoors in sunny Scottsdale Arizona or blogging in the shade (i.e. my home office). And I never skip the  Soothing Eye Balm, which is just so soothing and relaxing – like its description. The biggest winning feature of the product is that it’s very sheer – almost a serum texture – that absorbs well into my skin.

The rest of the week, I like to use either the Moisturizing Facial Wash or the Refreshing Facial Wash Gel. But to still keep up with that gentle exfoliating after shower I can’t live without the Exfoliating Facial Wipes. These facial wipes, in my opinion really one of the best on the market. They are fragrance-free and durable. Perfect for travel and perfect to use to correct makeup, all without irritating or upsetting your sensitive skin. I finish with the same Simple Skincare facial moisturizers I mentioned above. When I’m done with the Simple Skincare routine, I then begin applying my makeup. And done. That simple.
