The pigment is a bit sheer yet dramatic enough and shimmers. Another great thing about this palette is the all the shades are very practical and wearable and long wearing. My favorite shade so far is the Brown.

I like to line by bottom lashes with the NEW Make Up For Ever La Boheme Aqua Eyes in dark brown, also a limited edition. It’s long wearing and gives me that softer smoky eye look. I must say, I’m a smoky eye addict. I don’t feel as powerful without it:)

“For a healthy, glowing look, I prepped Lea’s skin with Shu Uemura Instant Glow Cream. I then used Cle De Peau Foundation all over the skin, Bobbi Brown Concealer where needed, and Kevyn Aucoin Highlighter in Candlelight. I contoured her cheeks with Nars Blush in Luster, a sheer golden apricot color.

I wanted to create a smoky eye, but with a modern twist, using blues. On the lids I used Dior Eyeshadow in Smoky Navy, and lined the eyes with CHANEL Long Lasting Eyeliner in Marine. To make the eyes pop, I applied two coats of CHANEL Inimitable Intense Mascara in Noir, a deep, rich black. Finally, we kept the lips neutral, using Nars Lipstick in Blonde Venus, topped with a bit of CHANEL Glossimer in Futile.”

Face

“For Jessica’s face, I first applied mark For Goodness Face Antioxidant Skin Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 all over her skin to create a nice base. Next, I followed by applying mark Face Xpert Flawless Touch Makeup in Golden using the mark Foundation Brush to create an even skin tone.

To cover any redness or under-eye circles, I dabbed on mark Good Riddance Hook Up Concealer in Medium/Deep, and set the look with mark Powder Buff Natural Skin Foundation in Golden. I then used the mark Angled Contour Face Brush to dust mark Bronze Pro Bronzing Powder in Bronze to her cheeks, forehead and chin to warm up her face. To give her a slight flush, I added mark Good Glowing Custom Pick Powder Blush in Sun Love Glo to the apples of her cheeks.”

Eyes

“I really wanted to emphasize Jessica’s dark eyes so we created a heavy, smoky eye. I prepped her eyelids with the mark Please Hold Eye Primer in Medium/Dark followed with a dusting of mark I-Mark Custom Pick Eye Shadow in Gioia and Corset using the mark All Over Eye Shadow Brush. Next, I blended the shadows upwards into the crease with the mark Angled Contour Eye Shadow Brush and then used the mark Hook Up Eye Shadow Brush to smudge mark I-Mark Custom Pick Eye Shadow in Corset along her top and bottom lash line. I then rimmed her eyes with mark No Place to Run Eyeliner Pencil in Jet Set since I needed something super longwearing that wouldn’t smear once I applied. I finished off her eye look with two coats of mark Make It Big Mascara in Raven.”

Lips

“For her lips I used mark Lipclick Full Color Lipstick in Malt. I love how creamy these new lipsticks are!”

Celebrity Makeup Artist Mary Phillips created the beautiful makeup look for Elizabeth Arden spokesperson, Catherine Zeta-Jones, at the 2010 Tony Awards on June 13th, 2010. For a smoky eye effect, Mary applied Elizabeth Arden Color Intrigue Eyeshadow Duo in Black Currant and Color Intrigue Eyeshadow Duo in Peacock from lid to brow to give the eye that extra pop.

To create a pink glow, Mary applied Ceramide Cream Blush in Pink on the apples of Catherine’s cheeks.

She then applied Ceramide Plump Perfect Lipstick in Perfect Blossom for soft, natural lips. To finish the look Mary coated the lashes with Double Density Maximum Volume Mascara in Black for a dramatic touch.

Last night at the 2010 Tony Awards, Scarlett Johansson won Best Actress in a Play for her Broadway debut role in “A View From The Bridge.” Johannson’s makeup artist Gianpaolo Ceciliato created a romantic and feminine make up look for the occasion using Dolce&Gabbana The Make Up.

How to get Scarlett Johansson’s purple eye makeup look:

First, Ceciliato lined Scarlett’s inner and outer eye lids with The Eyeliner in Dahlia. Next, he blended the purple shadow from the Eyeshadow Duo in Dazzling and the pink shadow from The Eyeshadow Duo in Guilty on eyelids. To complete the eye look, Gionpaolo applied several coats of The Mascara in black on top and bottom lashes.

To complement the smoky eye, Gionpaolo kept the rest of the face natural by applying a bit of The Blush in Provocative on the upper portion of Johannson’s cheeks and The Classic Cream Lipstick in Nude on her lips.

Last night, celebrity makeup artist Sam Fine created a beautiful “Modern 30’s Glam” look for supermodel IMAN. Below, Sam shares the product he used to create this iconic look.

SKIN: Every look that walks the red carpet begins with flawless skin. I start by using Iman’s Second to None Luxury Radiance Liquid Makeup Enriched with Minerals (in shade 2) to highlight and conceal the under eye area. Then I uses Iman’s Second to None Stick Foundation in the same shade to achieve a flawless complexion that not only looks great on the red carpet, but lasts though the night!
