At the 2009 BET Awards, celebrity makeup artist, Ashunta Sheriff, created a Moroccan inspired look for Alicia Keys based on her recent trip for the Mawaline Festival. Ashunta gave Alicia flawless skin and coral lips reminiscent of a Moroccan Paradise.
Ashunta prepped Alicia’s skin with Laura Mercier Mineral Primer, a superfine, lightweight and translucent powder that primes the skin prior to foundation application for an even, mistake-proof surface ($30, available at www.lauramercier.com ).

According to Lauara Mercier, Global Makeup Artist, Tayaba Jafri, key inspiration for the makeup look at Pamella Roland was the gold of a Faberge egg. Eyes are gold leafed encased in a very dark eyeliner. Tabya’s favorite products for the show is a Laura Mercier Caviar Eye Liner which is a cream liner which is extreme;y versatile. “I can’t do makeup without it.” Tabaya told me.
Another one pf her favorite products is Laura Mercier Shimmer Bloc in Golden Mosaic, because it allows you to create a lot of texture in the eyes, and luminosity to the cheeks.
