“We were inspired by Tina’s black strapless Versace gown. We wanted her look to be equally classic and sexy,” says Gita.

Gita started by spritzing the face with Votre Vu Amour D’Ore Multi-Vitamin Oil for Face, Body and Hair. “It adds long-lasting hydration, primes for makeup and gives the complexion a gorgeous glow,” she says. Next, she applied Votre Vu Tragic Magic Rescue Creme to soothe and eliminate any redness.

To create the appearance of a smooth and bright eye area, Gita patted on Votre Vu Tout le Monde Antioxidant Eye Gelee and layered Votre Vu SpecialEyes Intensive Eye Treatment on top. She then brushed on Votre Vu WonderBrows in Eva to add definition to Tina’s natural arch.

Next, she used Votre Vu Sensational Eyes Eye Primer in Medium on the lids as a budge-proof eye makeup base. To prep her lips for color, Gita dabbed on the moisturizing Votre Vu Champagne Kisses Volume Enhancing Lip Balm.

Since Tina’s look shows a bit of skin, Gita generously applied the nourishing Votre Vu Snapdragon Antioxidant-Rich Citrus Body Drench all over. She followed up by spritizing Votre Vu Amour D’Ore Multi-Vitamin Oil for Face, Body and Hair on her decolletage and shoulders for an added sheen.

Finally, to set the look and create a radiant finish, Gita dusted on Votre Vu Mineral Powder in Light. “I also made Tina put the powder in her clutch so she can do touch-ups throughout the night” said Gita.

Gita started by prepping the face with skin-soothing Votre Vu Tragic Magic Rescue Creme. “It calms the complexion making it the perfect canvas for makeup” she said. She then patted on Votre Vu Tout le Monde Antioxidant Eye Gelée under the eyes and brow bone. “It decreases puffiness instantly which helps since Tina doesn’t get much sleep with a new baby at home!”

Next, she applied Votre Vu Sensational Eyes Eye Primer in Medium on lids for a flawless eye makeup base. To create a well-defined brow, Gita used the “amazing” Votre Vu Wonder Brow in Eva which helped to emphasize Tina’s natural arch.

Then, she smoothed on Votre Vu Champagne Kisses Lip Enhancing Balm to hydrate and prevent lipstick from bleeding and feathering. To set the look and create a silky finish, Gita dusted on Votre Vu Mineral Powder in Light all over the face.

The Makeup Look & Inspiration: I was inspired by Tina’s beautiful eyes and black beaded overlay dress to do a slightly smokey elongated eye, and keep the lips and cheeks soft and pretty.

The focus was on Tina’s eyes and beautiful skin. I prepped with Jurlique Rose Water and the new CHANEL Sublimage Concentrate. We kept her lips fresh and moist with the beautiful CHANEL Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss in Insolence, and CHANEL Precision Lip Definer in Praline d’Or.  On her cheeks I used a bit of CHANEL Blush Duo Tweed Effect in Tweed Rose. The Power of Clothes: “I think women dress for other women to let them know what their deal is. Because if women were only dressing for men, there would be nothing but Victoria’s Secret. There would be no Dior.”

Hand-Me-Downs: When she was in grade school, a cousin gave her some hand-me-downs that included a “colonial-lady” Halloween costume. “It consisted of a bonnet,” says Fey, “and a burlap apron and a long skirt. And I would just wear it sometimes after school. As an outfit… It was the Bicentennial! People were excited!”

The VOGUE Cover: Her favorite moment: “I was posing for [Mario Testino] and he was talking from behind the camera and he was like, ‘You have to fliiiirt, darleeeng. Here’s the scoop on Tina Fey’s makeup at the awards straight from Ana Marie. The inspiration, says Ana Marie, was Old Hollywood/1950′s with a twist.

Tina’s skin was prepped with Lancôme Secret de Vie Toner (Ana Marie’s favorite!) and moisturized with Bienfait Multi Vital, a combination that keeps the skin looking vibrant all day. Lancôme Absolue Foundation in Pearl evened out Tina’s complexion. Ana Marie applied it with a foundation brush and blended with a damp sponge to make the foundation more transparent.

To create a sun-kissed look, Ana Marie layered a cream blush (Lancôme Color Design Creme Blush in Petticoat Pink) with a powder blush (YSL Blush Variation in #18 Coral Sand). Layering the different textures allows for long-lasting color.

For the eyes, Ana Marie lined the top and bottom lash line with Lancôme Le Crayon Khôl in Black Coffee and curled the lashes using a Shu Uemura eye lash curler. Lancôme Défincils Waterproof Mascara in Black was applied to create separated, dark lashes.

Lips were lined and defined with Le Lipstique in Sheer Natural and filled in with Lancôme Color Fever Shine Lipstick in Tempt Me. For a fresh, glossy finish, Ana Marie used Lancôme Juicy Tubes in Cherry Burst.

Luminous Skin: “Glowing radiant skin is a must on the red carpet! I love using the Elizabeth Arden Mineral Powder Foundation-it contains mica which reflects light creating a luminous finish that’s never greasy, and it is virtually invisible on the skin, perfect for HD.”

Smoky Eyes: “I wanted to give Tina a soft smoky eye, so I chose a gunmetal shade instead of a harsh black. The Elizabeth Arden Smoky Eyes Powder Pencil is the perfect tool as it delivers a great amount of pigment and it blends beautifully. Adding a little shimmer on the inner corners and the upper lid creates a 3 dimensional finish that really pops.”

Sexy Lashes: “To accentuate Tina’s sexy feline shaped eyes, I added some individual lashes on the outer corners of the upper lid. Curl the lashes and add 2 coats of mascara before adding the lashes-this way you can see where the gaps are and just fill them in.”

Bold Lip: “A natural lip is a great compliment to a smoky eye. I chose Elizabeth Arden Color Intrigue Effects Lipstick in Pink Honey Pearl. It’s sheer enough to not compete with the eye but contains a hint of gold to add some warmth to the face.

…For added staying power, line the lips with a liner the same color as your lip, fill in the line and then layer the lipstick over the top. To create an even sexier pout, add a sheer layer of pink gloss – I used Elizabeth Arden High Shine Lip Gloss in Pink Pout.
