Vinita Jain, founder of VINITA Skincare, grew up on tea plantations in the Himalayas in Darjeeling and Assam with Himalayan Masters who taught her the science of body rejuvenation. This secret to preserving youth was in the form of lotions and potions that they would eat, drink, and put on their skin consisting of minerals (diamonds, pearls, silver and gold) and rare herbs and teas. They past this knowledge on to Vinita through 5000 years of Sanskrit scriptures that she studied before she took it upon herself to move to Switzerland to study biotechnology. Vinita married modern science with ancient science and VINITA Skincare was born.

VINITA Skincare is the only line at Saks Fifth Avenue that is both topical and ingestible, as the collection includes seven age-correcting products and teas that draw on Vinita’s deep knowledge of biotechnology and Bhasma. The VINITA Skincare is available from April 2008 exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York, Beverly Hills, Phoenix, Palm Beach Gardens, South Coast Plaza (Costa Mesa CA), and Saks.com. VINITA Skincare will be one of the first collections carried by Saks to feature a balanced skincare regimen with ingestible and topical care.
