FASHION NEWS: To mark the 10 year anniversary of Temperley London and a decade in the fashion industry, Alice Temperley hosted an evening of celebration and cocktails last night, Wednesday the 9th November, 2011, in New York City for the launch of her new book, True British: Alice Temperley, by Alice Temperley MBE.

Alice Temperley’s distinctive, feminine designs combine meticulous detail and embellishments with an English eccentricity and personality drawing on everything British from Aubrey Beardsley ethereal prints to edgy vintage punk; Temperley London is the modern day ‘Cool Britannia’. Published by Rizzoli, the new book launched worldwide in October 2011, traces the development of her style from fashion into interiors and lifestyle, and the growth of her company over the last ten years. True British: Alice Temperley includes a foreword from Lucy Yeomans, Editor of Harper’s Bazaar UK, imagery from international editorial shoots, Temperley campaigns and events as well as a behind the scenes examination of her textile designs, embroideries, and iconic Temperley pieces.

The event was an intimate celebration with close friends and family in a private loft in Manhattan.
