Hairstylist Sean James and Marta at Talking Makeup.
The look is a 1940’s-1950’s inspired updo. The effect from the back is a bit of a ‘cleavage’ making this hairstyle extra sexy.

According to Sean James this updo can last for days and even a week with minimum upkeep. Sean James’ must-have product to achieve the hairstyle at Juila is: Infinium 2 Regular Hold Working Spray by L’Oreal Professionnel.

Lori was kind enough to share with Talking Makeup some of the details behind the makeup look at Julia Clancey. Eyes are smokey not in black but in brown, using Smashbox Cream Eye Liner in Putty (medium brown), $22. The eye liner is used to create a take off of a cat eye which is softer, more round and fluid. Cheeks are glowy and highlighted. Lips are blood red, using Smashbox Photo Finish Lipstick with Sila-Silk Technology in Legendary, $22.

Milly New York Fall 2008 Fashion Week
Makeup for Milly’s fall 2008 fashion week was done by Romy Soleimani. Hair style was highly stylized, tight, almost frizzy waves.
So Romy Soleimani matched the Parisian hair with a very soft red lip that was matted and made sheer to the point of being almost pale. Call it “modern red.” Other facial element besides concealer was a bit of a black eyeliner at the edges of the eye, done with a pencil and a pigment, and extended out. The cheeks were clean. Monique Lhuillier New York Fall 2008 Fashion Week
Makeup artist for Monique Lhuillier’s Fall 2008 collection was done by Val Garland. The look was-full court, all color eye socket.
Shades: pigment in heavy grey blue, inky blue, purple, and burgundy. “It’s quite reflective.” Said Val. “Quite liquidy.” The rest of the face was neutral bare, with a sheer vino lip. A dramatic look to equal the dark dramatic gowns and cocktail dresses in Monique Lhuillier fall collection. (Source: MAC Trend Report).
Badgley Mischka New York Fall 2008 Fashion Week
Makeup artist Tom Pecheux used a fabulous French expression for this multi-layered colored eye that goes from brow to lid:”degrade.”
It went from burgundy to brown to golden bronze with the golden pigment just above the pupils, and MAC’s new rose pink pigment for fall. “Then I put a bit of green in the corners of the eye-just for fun!” Tom added. Mouth were beige and glossy. (Source: MAC Trend Spot).
