TOM FORD New York and Las Vegas To Carry TOM FORD Womenswear Collection
New York, March 4th, 2011 – The first TOM FORD WOMENSWEAR collection will be available in the TOM FORD New York Flagship beginning March 7th, followed by Las Vegas on March 11th. It will also be available in TOM FORD stores in Los Angeles, Milan, Beijing, Hong Kong, Seoul, Shanghai, Spain, Zurich, Baku, Beirut and Dubai beginning Spring 2011, with expanded distribution for Fall 2011 to TOM FORD shop-in-shops in select specialty stores worldwide, as well as additional TOM FORD free standing stores.
TOM FORD WOMENSWEAR was launched during last September’s New York Fashion Week in a very intimate show steeped in timeless fashion glamour. A select audience of international fashion press attended a salon-style presentation in the Madison Avenue TOM FORD flagship. Ford gave live commentary as the collection’s thirty-two looks were modeled, in an atmosphere of unmistakable joie de vivre, by an extraordinary and eclectic cast that included Ford’s inner circle of friends; iconic fashion muses he admires; his favorite models from the past, and his favorite new faces of today.
Julianne Moore and Lauren Hutton, Beyoncé Knowles and Marisa Berenson, Daphne Guinness and Rachel Feinstein, Emmanuelle Seigner and Rita Wilson, Amber Valletta, Karen Elson, and Stella Tennant, as well as Lou Doillon, Julia Restoin Roitfelt, Du Juan, Lakshmi Menon, and Chanel Iman, were just some of the women, diverse in age, ethnicity, and body type, who modeled a look that had been custom made by Tom Ford to amplify her beauty and individuality. The TOM FORD WOMENSWEAR collection includes day and evening suiting, tailored separates, cocktail wear, and dramatic eveningwear. Sharp tuxedos, cigarette pants, soft day dresses, plunge-back cocktail dresses, and shimmering evening columns feature exquisite materials, details, and finishes.
