The packaging
The soft curves of the female form and her facial features. The smooth, velvety feel of her skin. The light. The main elements of a woman’s beauty for Dolce&Gabbana are echoed in the packaging. The soft touch material of the box of all Skincare products are as silky smooth as a woman’s skin. They are gently curvaceous. All share a fine golden trim, like silk thread and Dolce&Gabbana’s iconic gold. Essential is optical white, representing purity: the first, essential step in any beauty routine. Aurealux is a warmer, eggshell white, like the enriching, skin-rewarding ingredients it contains.
Ingredients
Dolce&Gabbana Skincare features a pioneering new active complex – the Gold Flavo- Silk TricomplexTM – and is shown to deliver the skin moisture and radiance necessary for captivating skin, defined as even tone, smooth texture and plumped shape. This new exclusive complex features a uniquely sourced extract of Gold Silk Sericin, a mix of amino acids and poly-peptides known to promote and preserve the best environment for life to flourish inside the cocoon from which it originates.
The exclusive Gold Silk Sericin used in Dolce&Gabbana Skincare originates from a precious golden cocoon. Naturally developed, grown and harvested using traditional sericulture techniques spanning several centuries, the golden cocoon is transformed into a pure extract using a unique nine-step process. During in-vitro testing, the Gold Flavo-Silk TricomplexTM, which is infused with Gold Silk Sericin, was shown to increase moisture levels in the skin’s stratum corneum, helping to unlock the secret of captivating skin.
Drawing inspiration from Sicily’s cultural influences, a special extract of Italian Olive Oil was selected for its ability to strengthen the top layers of the skin structure. Finally, inspired by vitamins found in natural wheat, the formulators enriched this complex with Vitamin B3. It is a well-known water-soluble vitamin that has shown to enhance skin moisturization, increase rate of exfoliation and barrier repair when applied topically.
