What’s the coolest experience you’ve had because of your blog? (A trip, an interview, a product?)
My coolest experience because of my blog is having celebrities call my house for an interview, for example, Eva La Rue and Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian. I love to interview and I really hope the personalities I interview inspire Talking Makeup’s readers with their beauty secrets and life story. I got to meet Beyonce, and most recently I met Natasha Bedingfield at the John Frieda Sheer Blonde kick off event concert in New York City. Getting invited to fashion shows in New York is also amazing.

What are the top 3 blogs that you like to read?
I have 4: T Magazine, Swide, NYLON and Style

When do you make time to run a blog with your busy MOM schedule?
Luckily, I’m able to run my blog as a full time job while I send my boys to day care. I’ll be lost without day care! LOL

What is your favorite beauty tip?
Always do your hair because hair is half beauty, wear a face powder or a foundation for perfect complexion, lip gloss, and a smile.

What did your mother teach you about beauty and fashion?
Always dress your best.

What outfit makes you feel beautiful and confident? Tell us about it!
I’m most comfortable with skinny jeans and a cool dress top or T-shirt. I’m very much a rock chic type of girl.

What’s your favorite online site to shop for beauty or fashion?
I have more than one, is that OK? Nordstrom.com, victoriassecret.com, express.com, armaniexchange.com, sephora.com

What motivates you to look your best?
I believe you have to take care of every aspect of your life and looking good is one of them. And when I do look the best I truly feel the best. Cliche but true.

As a mom, “Me Time” is limited… what are your time saving beauty tips?
Biggest one is not washing my hair everyday. I like my hair straight and it takes good 35 minutes to get it perfect. Who’s got time for that in the morning with kids? I hear it’s actually good for the hair as well.

Name one beauty product you can’t live without: Good foundation. My favorites lately: NARS Sheer GLOW Foundation, lasting silk UV foundation spf 20 by Giorgio Armani Beauty, stila one step makeup foundation, Lancôme Ôscillation Powerfoundation, MAC Mineralize SPF 15 Foundation. And lots of shimmer thanks to Victoria’s Secrets Sexy Little Things Give Me The Shimmers Shimmering Body Powder which I never leave my house without it.

Heels or flats? Describe your favorite pair.
In an ideal and fantasy world I would wear heels all the time even on the beach (and I try sometimes). However, running around after two very feisty boys I often keep flats in my purse, just in case. My favorite shoes are by Christian Louboutin and Guess by Marciano.

What has been your worst fashion faux pas?
Wearing baggy clothes in high school. Not a good look for a skinny girl. I blame it on the 80s.

Lip gloss or Lip Stick? Do you have a favorite brand/color?
I’m mostly a lip gloss girl. I like to wear lipstick when I go out for a bolder effect or for layering. My recent favorites are: rouge d’armani lipstick 401 by Giorgio Armani Beauty and Lancome Chris&Tell Lipstick (light pink coral) over MAC Embre Glow Lip Glass (beige coral).
