Makeup Artist Jillian Dempsey created a sophisticated look combining sultry eyes with baby doll lips for Jennifer Lawrence’s 2013 People Choice Awards appearance.

Jillian played up Jennifer’s blue eyes with cat eyes that kicked-out at the end using black liquid liner. Next, black and champagne shadows were blended to create an iridescent, grey wash on the eyelids. Jillian framed the eyes with several coats of black mascara.

Skin was prepped with primer before applying foundation and concealer. Jillian then added a flush of color to the cheeks and finished off the “Bardot-esque” look with a baby pink lip color.

At the Critic’s Choice Awards, Jennifer’s makeup look was all about “lips and lashes,” according to makeup artist Jillian Dempsey. Jillian chose a bold lip color and accentuated Jennifer’s eyes with voluminous mascara. She layered a grey taupe shadow on the upper lid and contoured the crease line with a deeper shade. Jillian then used a black cream liner to define the upper lash line and an espresso pencil liner to delineate the lower lashes.
