How to get the look:
Leighton’s outfit was strong and graphic, so I purposely avoided harsh colors. Instead, I created a soft, pretty look so Leighton’s skin could glow from within.
I started with a highlighting moisturizer before applying a light layer of ck one 3-in-1 face makeup with SPF 8 sunscreen in 200 fair, which creates a sheer and natural skin palette. To highlight her beautiful bone structure, I applied ck one skin illuminator in 100 cool on the tops of her cheeks, bridge of her nose, and her cupid’s bow. Rather than using contour products, I used a small amount of ck one 3-in-1 concealer in 2 light medium to even out her skin tone before lightly dusting a plum blush, Hourglass Ambient Blush in Mood Exposure, to make her skin come to life.
I wanted Leighton’s lips to be the focus, so right after finishing her skin, I started on her lips,
which gave me the base for her overall look – I catered the rest of her makeup around it. Once I chose the exact caramel shade, ck one pure color lipstick in 810 smooch, I applied it to her lips and blotted twice, then blurred the edges with a Q-tip, giving her lips a soft look that still had impact.
On Leighton’s eyes, I used a basic beige/brown eyeshadow, ck one eyeshadow base in 710 prim, all over her lid and along her bottom lash line, followed by a very narrow black line of ck one eyeliner marker in 800 the drama, just at the root of her lashes to make her eyes stand out. I also applied a thick coat of ck one volumizing mascara in 800 black to her top and bottom lashes.
