L’Wren Scott Fall 2012
The beauty look for L’Wren Scott’s Fall 2012 collection was inspired by Theda Bara, an actress from the early 1900’s known for her femme fatale roles. She also famously coined the term “vamp.” Makeup by Lancôme’s Artistic Director for Makeup Aaron De Mey.

How To
Lancôme’s Artistic Director for Makeup Aaron De Mey created an homage to Theda with a smoky eye, contoured cheeks, lots of highlight and pale matte lips. For the eyes, he applied navy blue eyeliner to the crease and along the lash line, topped it with an inky blue eyeshadow and blended it all for a smoky look. A dab of Juicy Tubes in Pure, just on the lids, made the eye makeup look worn. Éclat Miracle Illuminator was applied to the top of the cheeks, nose, Cupid’s bow and around the hair line, while contour powder was applied just below the cheek bone to sculpt the face. Lips were muted with a dab of Effacernes concealer.
