Michael C. Hall, Chloe Sevigny and Kiehl’s for Waterkeeper Alliance

Spring at Kiehl’s has meant not only new skincare, but also a new environmental project that continues their commitment to give back to our community, and bring attention to environmental issues. And this year, as they celebrate Kiehl’s 160th anniversary of service to customers, they’re continuing that tradition, by collaborating with the incredible Michael C. Hall and Chloë Sevigny as partners in a project that will help clean up both our waterways and our skin!

With a Limited Edition Rare Earth Cleansing Masque, (available mid-month at Kiehls.com), Kiehl’s is supporting Waterkeeper Alliance, a grassroots advocacy organization with nearly 200 member organizations. Kiehl’s friends will be able to find the limited edition products at Kiehl’s stores and Kiehls.com, learn more about the organization, and know that they’re actually contributing to its efforts.

This partnership is only the latest piece in Kiehl’s long-standing commitment to the environment, part of  their overall mission to give back to our communities. They always used the most minimal packaging in products to reduce waste;always encouraged their customers to recycle, and indeed, their ongoing in-storeRecycle and Be Rewarded! program has encouraged Kiehl’s customers to return more than 200,000 empty Kiehl’s bottles back to stores for recycling. Throughout the years, Kiehl’s also supported environmental organizations with limited edition products to benefit their efforts, and have been fortunate to collaborate with like-minded partners such as Julianne Moore, Pharrell Williams, Jeff Koons and Erykah Badu on these projects.

This year, Kiehl’s continuing that tradition to unveil their newest charitable and environmental collaboration, a convergence of our Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque (which detoxifies skin with fairly traded Amazonian White Clay); the Waterkeeper Alliance (which protects and preserves our waterways); and the creativity of Michael C. Hall and Chloë Sevigny (who have designed the labels for this collection.)

The limited edition masque ($23), featuring labels by their partners, will fully benefit Waterkeeper Alliance—100% of net Kiehl’s proceeds from this Limited Edition Label Art Series will benefit the organization. The Waterkeeper Alliance is an organization that Kiehl’s has supported for many years, and through this project, they are so proud to extend their relationship with the organization with a donation of $100,000.
