SK-II at Monique Lhuillier
At the Monique Lhuillier Spring/Summer 2015 show in New York, Monique Lhuillier presents a collection that evokes the opulence of a budding sunrise sky; painted with soft-petal shades, translucent reflections and iridescent satin.
To achieve a dreamlike look, SK-II prepped models backstage by applying a Facial Treatment Mask to cleansed skin.
The mask is designed to mold closely to the contours of the skin, allowing for blended beauty prep simultaneously with skin, hair and nails. After 15 minutes the mask was peeled off and excess liquid was massaged into skin, revealing a fresh-faced glow reminiscent of a luminous sunrise. The cotton mask allows maximum moisture to sink deep into the skin, an ideal step prior to make-up application.
The overall look on the runway was a clear representation of youthful, fresh beauty from head-to-toe, opening with a glowing complexion.

About SK-II
The fascinating story behind Procter& Gamble’s Prestige skincare line, SK-II, began at a sake brewery in Japan, where scientists noticed the elderly workers had wrinkled faces, but extraordinarily soft and youthful-looking hands. These hands were in constant contact with the sake fermentation process. It took years of research for scientists to isolate the miracle ingredient PiteraTM, a naturally-derived liquid from the yeast fermentation process. Since then, SK-II with Pitera has become a special secret shared by celebrities such as Cate Blanchett around the world, transforming skin along the five dimensions of texture, radiance, firmness, spot control and wrinkle resilience critical to crystal clarity.
