Upon the rebirth of the historic fashion destination, The Plaza welcomes the arrival of Warren-Tricomi, a modern symbol of timeless style and visionary expertise. The newest Warren-Tricomi Salon, a 6,100 square foot space in The Plaza Retail Collection is the ultimate testament to Joel Warren and Edward Tricomi’s unparalleled position in the industry. Both renowned for superior pampering and subtle sophistication, Warren-Tricomi and The Plaza together represent the perfect marriage of luxury and style.

The Plaza, New York City.

Synonymous with luxury, The Plaza has hosted the most illustrious guests, exclusive parties, and monumental events of the last hundred years. From Hollywood legends to political luminaries, the century’s most prominent players have stayed and played at this cultural institution. For their newest and most opulent outpost, Joel Warren and Edward Tricomi chose to emulate and embellish the era of the 60’s when Jackie Onassis and The Beatles stayed at The Plaza. “Old photos of screen sirens from that time period led us to the black and cream interior colors in the new salon,” explains Joel Warren. “The shades reflect the sumptuous, chic décor of that moment.” Now, the tradition continues as a new generation of trendsetters visits the latest Warren-Tricomi Salon for styles befitting The Plaza legacy.

To add panache to the salon, eveningwear designer Anne Bowen has created a shimmering swing silhouette robe that at first glance, resembles a chic evening coat. The fabric is a silky, silvery cream charmeuse, lined in blue iridescent organza, also incorporating details such as an open neckline and large pearlized button. When draped in this ultimate robe guests can look chic from start to finish.

The new salon is a modernized three-level space designed by architect Dominic Kozerski. All surfaces of the middle level reception area are made from custom-fluted travertine stone, with a monolithic stone desk in the center. The light, natural travertine is paired with black granite on the floors and in the cut and color sections on the upper level, illuminated by theatrical lighting in an open ceiling. “These sleek and textured surfaces contrast irreverently with our ‘tongue in cheek’ recreation of some of The Plaza’s iconic elements, such as paneled wall decoration in the 17th century French style that the original Plaza décor and architecture borrow from,” explains Kozerski. The lower level houses a private VIP cut and color room as well as high-end manicure and pedicure areas.

“The clients understanding of sophisticated construction and quality craftsmanship is second to none. Warren-Tricomi boasts of hand crafted millwork, genuine terrazzo wall tile, black absolute granite floors, and amazing theatrical lighting. This project like Morimoto and Primehouse is a gem to our portfolio.” explains Michael Borrico, President, Certified of NY.

The salon host’s electronic chairs with massage backs and pedicure chairs with bowls of one-of-a-kind murano glass, while the isolated makeup/eyebrow area is also made from travertine stone and is perfectly lit to enhance the look of the stone. The front desk is stocked with handheld devices with which clients can order product that will be prepared for checkout as well as book future appointments. An assortment of state-of-the-art technologies and treatments will be featured, including:a L’Oréal Professionnel Haircolor Center, a Sally Hansen Nail Clinic.

Combining the modern approach of a world-class salon with the venerated tradition of an unrivaled style landmark, the new Warren-Tricomi flagship salon at The Plaza Retail Collection represents history in the making.
