Kirsten Dunst At The Toronto On The Road premiere
Celebrity makeup artist Pati Dubroff and celebrity hairstylist Marcus Francis worked with Kirsten Dunst for the premiere of On The Road at the 2012 Toronto Film Festival on Thursday, September 6th, 2012.
Makeup Artist Pati Dubroff. BEAUTY INSPIRATION: “For Kirsten’s premiere of On the Road she wore a blush tone Dior dress. I wanted the makeup to have a slight nod to the roaring twenties.”
HOW TO GET THE LOOK:
“The skin preparation is super important. I spent about twenty minutes prepping skin with an Intraceuticals Oxygen Treatment and then applied the Intraceuticals Finishing Products. This gives the skin a plump glowing and gorgeous finish. I used Tatcha Luminous Dewy Fix Moist Spray right before makeup and on the exposed skin of the arms.
I used SUQQU Foundation in shade 102 on the skin, and the apples of cheeks got a slight flush with CHANEL Powder Blush in Narcisse.
I contoured the eyes with Burberry Sheer Eyeshadow in Chestnut and CHANEL Illusion D’Ombre in Ebloui to add a berry tone and shine on the center of lid. The luminous berry tone made the blue of her eyes really pop. The inner rim was lined in MAC Chromagraphic Pencil NC 15 – a flesh tone shade to open eye. I subtly defined her brows with MAC Eye Brows in Fling, a pale blonde. The lashes got two coats of YSL Volume Effet Faux Cils Mascara in Black and one coat of brown for bottom lashes.
The plum lip is YSL Rouge Pur Couture Vernis a Levres Glossy Stain in Rouge Vintage – a liquid lipstick with a large amount of pigment and a subtle shine. A muted plum with a velvet sheen – not too dark, so the look isn’t too retro.
In Kirsten’s evening bag I sent her with Tatcha Blotting Papers and the YSL liquid lipstick!”
HAIR
Hairstylist Marcus Francis. BEAUTY INSPIRATION: “Feeling inspired from Cybil Shepherd in Paper Moon, Kirsten and I thought she portrayed a sweet and sexy woman, yet classic.”
HOW GET THE LOOK:
“On towel dried hair, apply Leonor Greyl Mousse au Lotus Volumatrice section by section from the roots to ends. Choose your favored side that you part and go slightly over making a deep side part. Blow dry using a medium size vented round brush. Set each section into a pin curl and spray with L’Oreal Elnett Hairspray.
Once you’ve finished setting the entire head, after ten minutes brush out with a paddle brush like a Mason Pearson. To give the hair bounce on the ends, curl each section from the ends to the roots. Pin curl each of these sections now as well.
After twenty minutes, brush out the hair keeping the deep side part clean. Bobby pin the section that swoops across the forehead at the temple. Lightly apply Oribe Supershine Light to seal the ends and any fly aways still showing.”
