Backstage runway Beauty. The Naeem Khan Spring/Summer 2018 runway show gave an “unprecious” nod to the ballet. Playing on this concept, Erin Parsons for Maybelline New York pairs a high shine rose petal lip with matte skin for a stunning study in contrasts.

GET LOOK WITH MAYBELLINE NEW YORK

Erin creates the look of a perfectly smooth, shine- free complexion by blending on Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation. She then adds a subtle contour with Fit Me Loose Powder in a shade darker than each model’s skin tone under cheeks. She continues the matte effect by forgoing shimmery highlighter in favor of using the cream shade in the City Kits Pink Edge Eye + Cheek Palette on the high points of the face.

Next, she turns to brows, using EyeStudio Brow Precise Micro Pencil to fill in arches and Brow Drama Sculpting Eyebrow Gel in Clear to brush them in place.

For a warm glow on lids, she applies a ring of Lasting Drama Waterproof Gel Pencil in Glazed Toffee, then blends it out with a brush to impart a subtle wash of color. She reaches for Lash Sensational Washable Mascara in Brownish Black to give subtle definition.

Color Sensational Creamy Mattes Lipstick in Burgundy Blush

To create the multi- dimensional lip, Erin layers on Color Sensational Creamy Mattes Lipstick in Burgundy Blush followed by Divine Wine, then dabs Blissful Berry in the center of the mouth. She creates even more depth by over- lining afterwards with Color Sensational Shaping Lip Liner in Very Cherry, then adds a touch of a deeper shade, Rich Wine in the cupid’s bow. The final step: A thick layer of bright Color Sensational Vivid Hot Lacquer in Sassy with the richer Classic dotted in the middle.
