Demeter Fragrance Library

In ancient Greek religion and myth Demeter means the goddess of the harvest, who presided over grains and the fertility of the earth. So the the Demeter Fragrance Library lives up to its name being a hand-picked perfume collection of the best smells of life. I’ve picked what I describe as Summer 2012: Demeter Gin & Tonic, Sex On The Beach, Dirt, Grass. and Clean Skin. Wear it alone, or layer, or wear one each the day. However you want to do it Demeter is great because it let’s you be the boss.

This is what Summer 2012 smells like my picks from Demeter fragrance Library…photo by Marta Walsh.

How Does Demeter Dirt Smells Like

I bet you’re dying to know what Demeter Dirt smells like and let me tell you dirt never smelled so good! It’s earthy, and ironically smells almost clean. I love it because it’s such a statement perfume. You have to be darey or what I like to call as Hutzpa to pull it off, ha!

Demeter Gin & Tonic is how remember Demeter. It is the first Demeter perfume I’ve every smelled back in late 1990’s. Best alcoholic drink inspired perfume and the original. Smells just like the drink super FRESH.

And how can you go through summer without Demeter Sex On Beach it’s the wearable version of the Sex on the Beach Cocktail a combination of Vodka, unsweetened Pineapple Juice, a touch of Raspberry liquor, a hint of Melon liquor and a splash of Cranberry. But to me it smells more like hints of a sexy coconut tanning oil and a hint of very sultry beach days and nights.

Demeter Grass takes me back to my childhood summers in Israel playing on the grass, rolling in the grass, the smell of clean grass and slightly wet grass. Also the cooling effect that grass has on the skin especially during summer.

Demeter Clean Skin is perfect for summer if you just want to smell clean without using a heavy perfume.  A blend of orange, lemon, white rose, bergamot peach and vanilla, make for the perfect perfume-no -perfume look:)

Check out Demeter on Twitter and on Facebook have fun with it:)
