Jane Krakowski Hair at the 2011 Golden Globes
Between the provocative one-shoulder Badgley Mischka gown skimming over her baby bump and her tousled, sensual waves, actress and mother-to-be Jane Krakowski looked as if she’d stepped out of the ‘60s film classic La Dolce Vita at the 68th Annual Golden Globes Awards.
“Jane’s look is a nod to the glamour and sensuality of ‘50s and ‘60s European stars such as Anita Ekberg and Brigitte Bardot,” says celebrity stylist Creighton Bowman of Exclusive Artists Management. “And now that Jane is expecting, she’s more glowing and beautiful than ever,” says Creighton. “I wanted to show that moms-to-be are sexy too!” Here’s how Creighton created Jane’s alluring look.
Starting on towel-dried hair, I applied René Furterer Volumea Volumizing Foam at the roots, and then worked René Furterer Modeling Paste through to the ends. Next, I gave hair a blow-out using a medium styling brush.
To contrast the height at the crown, I smoothed the front sections to be smoother and closer to the head, and then parted hair down the middle for a flattering face-framing look.
Next, I created soft waves with a one-inch-wide curling iron. And for the ultimate La Dolce Vita glamorous finish, I sprayed hair with René Furterer Finishing Spray to ensure soft hold and René Furterer Glossing Spray for enhanced shine.
