MAC Finery Collection is available at all MAC location from October 18.  The MAC Finery is just beautiful to carry in your purse, and a great gift idea for the holidays. 

MAC Finery Collection includes a petite purse made with a woven cream fabric incorporating filaments of metallic gold or silver thread.  The frame and handle feature decorative ivory moulded plastic frame with a royal crown motif.  Each MAC Finery purse contains three lipcolours of various finished textures in plum, coral, tan or pink colour schemes.  Cost: $32. 

This season MAC Cosmetics Kids Helping Kids program brings to us greeting cards, gift cards, and wrapping paper designed by MAC’s young artists.  Everything you need for seasonal greeting!

Proceeds from sales of MAC Holiday Kids Helping Kids collection will go to MAC AIDS Fund to help support pediatric AIDS organizations around the world.  Available at all MAC locations from November 15.  Cost: $6-$10. 

MAC is just a genius in coming up with amazing makeup collections in such a short period.  Is this why we are so in love with MAC?  The new MAC Royal Assets takes us a bit back in time with its gilded antique-inspired compacts, destined to become collectors items.

Backstage at Alexander McQueen Fall 2007 the look was bold with unexpected flashes of color.  MAC artists under lead artist Terry Barber, contrasted the dark yet dynamic forms of McQueen’s collection with looks in which the eyes played the diva-warrior role.

Setting ultra pale lightly pearled lips against eye shadowed lid-to-brow in blue and chartreuse, lined in the classic cat’s-eye of Egyptian royalty, the look became uncompromisngly strong and graphic.  Intriguing in tone, bewitching in application, this is a collection that veers ever so colorfully to the dark side.

MAC McQueen is the collaboration between celebrated designer Alexander McQueen, leading makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury, and MAC Cosmetics for the Alexander McQueen Autumn Winter 2007 show.  The collection includes 16 products, 12 hand blended specially for the AW 07 McQueen show by Terry Barber, MAC Cosmetics Director of Makeup Artistry and lead makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury just days before the show.  The classic MAC Cosmetics packaging is stamped with the Alexander McQueen logo, as it plucked straight from the makeup artist’s table backstage.  “When we embarked on the packaging, I wanted to have the sense that these are really just imprints by Alexander McQueen, fresh, hot from the runway.  They are meant to be direct from the runway and feeling of trend,” says James Gager, Senior Vice President/Creative Director for MAC Cosmetics. 

Since 1996 MAC Cosmetics has worked with Alexander McQueen backstage by providing makeup and artistry support.  “The makeup for a show plays up certain elements of the clothing, changes the overall feeling, and mood.  I work with the key artist, Charlotte in this case, to take the makeup in a certain direction, and discuss my original inspiration for the collection as well as the mood, the theme, and focus for the show.  This time the inspiration was derived from Elizabeth Taylor in the 1963 film Cleopatra.  The Egyptian influence plays up a very feminine sexual strength that was present in my inspiration for the collection,” says Alexander McQueen.  This is the first time Alexander McQueen has partnered with a cosmetics company.
