WHAT HAVE THE ALLERGENIC REPORTS ABOUT THIS PRODUCT? AN IF YOU DON’T WANT IT FOR LIPS, CAN YOU USE IT FOR THE LINES ABOVE THE UPPER LIP, IS THAT WHAT YOU CALL FEATHERING?

This product is a joke and just another way to make someone else rich.don’t buy it
Comment by Eliza on 23 March 2009:
I personally find that the blistex range has something for everyone, and the lip repair cream is fantastic. Might as well use something at the value end of the market that produces results than pay high prices for something that is debatable but has a glossy brand name.
Comment by Kathy on 25 March 2009:
This product does not work at all. I am going to try to get my money back. It doesn’t erase lines above your lips and it certainly does not plump your lips. I am very disappointed.
Comment by Sandi on 25 March 2009:
L’Oreal is a good company with a lot of great product but the new lip plumping collagen filler is a rip-off. It doesn’t work and is too expensive. There are only a couple of lip products that really do work and they are very expensive like $50.
I guess L”oreal thinks women are stupid and that enough women will fall for this product and while it won’t work–L’Oreal will make millions on it.
I hope that anyone who buys this collagen lip scam will return them for a refund. L’Oreal either needs to come out with a worthy product that really works but this product as it is does not deliver.

Comment by Laurie on 26 March 2009:
This product just arrived this morning! What a major DISAPPOINTMENT and RIPOFF! When I applied the Loreal Collagen Filler Lip, I felt a very slight tingling to my lips… I thought, “oh, it’s working”. Wrong! Does not do a damn thing and I paid $20+shipping for NOTHING. This is the last Loreal product that I will ever purchase!
Comment by Noreen on 27 March 2009:
Thank you Ladies…I’ve been waiting with bated breath for this product to hit the stores so I could spend yet a few more bucks to get rid of the small lines around my lips. Thanks to your comments, I won’t waste my money.
Comment by Caroline on 28 March 2009:
Thank you too for your comments (though disappointed to read that this product hasn’t worked for you). I was looking for this product yesterday but fortunately for me no shops in my town had it in stock. Luckyily for me that I haven’t wasted my hard earned money on a product that doesn’t work – Ha! the woman in the advert had perfect skin and full lips. So what does she need this for?
Comment by Elizabeth on 29 March 2009:
Thank you for the honest feedback. I was going to buy this product tomorrow. But after reading these comments, you just saved me $20.00 and a disappointment.
Comment by Wendy on 31 March 2009:
Thank you! I just purchased this product today and decided to see if there was any feedback online…NOW instead of opening the package and being disappointed, I will return for my full refund tomorrow! [Walgreens carry's it]
Thank you!

Here’s another one who says “thanks” for the review. I was going to buy this product but needless to say I won’t bother now!
Comment by Theresa on 5 April 2009:
I bought the L’Oreal Lip plumper and filler a few days ago.The results are temporary but it does make my lips fuller for a very short period of time.I do like this product better than some of the other lip plumpers I have tried. It seems to me like some of the comments are from women that expect miracles from a $19.99 lip plumper.
Comment by Theresa on 5 April 2009:
I don’t think I would trust what other women experience with a product anyway. I know what I like and what works for me.I don’t have the time to read other women whine about how they wont waste $20.00 for a new product.
Comment by JJ on 22 April 2009:
Theresa, Clearly you waste time reading them though!!
Comment by Bonnie P on 25 April 2009:
I am SO glad I have begun READING reviews on EVERYTHING before I make a purchase or even eat out!!!! I have watched the commercials on this stuff – and was finally going to BUY – but not before I did my homework.
Thanks to ALL the women who posted a comment – I shall save my money!!!!

hi, i brought this product a couple of weeks ago before reading any feedback and im glad i did! I am a smoker and upper lip has started to slgihtly feather. Applying this morning and night and in 10 days i have noticed a slight difference. Not going to provide miracles as only a mid price item but I am pleased with it and will continue to use it.
Comment by lisa on 6 May 2009:
Glad I read the tips. Thank you. I won’t be buying this product. It pays to read the reviews.
Comment by dolly on 19 May 2009:
Many thanks for the reviews I have been trying to buy this product without success I am so pleased I couldnt get it now as I cant afford towaste my money and regardless of price it should do what its claimed to do no one expects miracles just honesty in products not false claims
Comment by Olivia on 26 May 2009:
got a free sample of this, glad it was free as it made absolutely no difference. The lip area felt moisturised but that was it, and I can get that effect from the che\apest 99p lip balms.
Comment by Daisy Gill on 26 May 2009:
Loreal Lip; filler is a real rip off. I spent 40.00 for two plus postage, It does absolutely nothing. see if I can find an address and return product. False advertisement. dg

Comment by Maisie Marley on 3 June 2009:
Just seen this advertised and galloped to the computer to buy online, first thing that came up was a free sample, so went for it, thank god I have a freebee on its way after reading all these womens responses, they are right, it shouldn’t be allowed to be advertised, it’s false advertisment and false hope for us desperate ladies!!
Comment by Laurie Hamilton on 17 June 2009:
This product has not hit my town yet….thank goodness…thank you for all of your negative posts! Another rip off that I”ve avoided.
Comment by Cathy on 21 June 2009:
I am glad I read the reviews on this product. I was searching for Loreal’s contact email to make a complaint about it and cannot find contact info on their web sites. Here in Canada the price is over $20 and I cannot return it. After using it for 2 weeks I see absolutely no difference at all and there are definately no “immediate” results as advertised. In fact I broke out in tiny bumps all around my mouth! I have never had a reaction like that to anything. Save your money ladies.
Comment by Gina Davies on 22 June 2009:
I have been buying age re-perfect pro-calcium products since they came on the market and have been quite happy with them ,then tried your new lip filler 1/2 collagen ,I agree with all the other ladies, it’s a load of rubbish,I am a pensioner, of 67 and I have to save up for my little luxuries, very disapointed with this one.
Comment by angela on 23 June 2009:
I just purchased this lip contour product today from Boots in Hull and when I opened the packaging there was nothing in the box! It was sealed in cellophane too! I didn’t notice the packet being particularly light as I just slung it in the basket in the store and it spent the afternoon in the boot of my car! It cost me £13.69 – I have my receipt – I’ll be going back tomorrow to complain! I guess that there is a defective batch floating around which is why I was searching online and came across this website! Its a total inconvenience as I live 10 miles away from the store and I will have to make a 20 mile round trip that I was not expecting to have to do! I am fuming!
Comment by Cindy on 6 August 2009:
I used the entire tube and I think it is worse now than it was.
Comment by staceyflnative on 7 August 2009:
anything that is tested on animals is … NOT a good product
Comment by 36yoGrandma on 13 August 2009:
I bought my product last night before leaving work. After I got out of the shower last night I applied it as instructed and when I woke up this morning I have to admit, I did a bit of an eyebrow raise. My lips were a little plumper and the small lines that are forming around my upper lip were slightly diminished. I work night shifts so I can watch my 8 month old grandson during the day while my daughter finishes up her college classes. I work very hard for my money and every penny counts now that my husband and I support our daughter and our grandson. I can’t give this product a good or bad review but I am willing to give it chance.
Comment by Kat on 19 August 2009:
I am so glad I read your reviews before purchasing. Thank you all, I will stick with my Mary Kay products.
Comment by Marje Davis on 9 September 2009:
I agree this product is rubbish when I contacted L’oreal the response I received was ” We’ll let our marketing department know”
Comment by Elizabeth on 15 September 2009:
I was so looking forward to buying this product, after only recently noticing very fine lines appearing on my upper lip I want to stop or delay the process while I’ve caught it early. I suppose I had doubts about it, if something could really reverse the signs of aging surely it would cost alot more than €20.00. Anyway, back to the drawing board, gotta see what else is out there. Thanks for all the comments ladies.
Comment by Terri on 21 September 2009:
Thanks for all your reviews folks. I had my doubts about this product. I’m glad you all confirmed it. Needless to say, I won’t be buying it either.
Comment by Anne-Marie on 26 September 2009:
Wow…I can’t believe that none of you had success with this product…I like it a lot…for the price, I thought the results were good…It has not been two weeks and already I see a big difference!…The plumpiness was immediate!…and the feathering well…I noticed a remarkable improvement in a week….Mmmm…maybe the formula is different here in Canada!…I have heard that often the FDA in certain countries do not allow certain ingredients in products!…Sorry to hear about your bad luck with this product, however, I will continue using it!…Good luck!
Comment by margaret on 4 October 2009:
What an absolute rip off this produt is should have known when advert on tv shows a younger woman demonstrating affects! DON’T BUY IT.
Comment by Virginia on 22 October 2009:
I LOVE it. I put it on for the first time at 6:00 this morning. Just checked my upper lip out while I was washing my hands in the restroom: I have ZERO lines above my lip! (I’m 52 and have lines there, believe me.) It’s definitely worthwhile for me.
Comment by Monica on 30 October 2009:
I absolutely love this product! I have been using it since it came out and have seen an incredible difference on the lines above my upper lip. When you first apply it you can see the lines disappear and it will last quite a while. I still have my original tube so it has lasted quite some time, although I don‘t use it daily. It’s a great buy and if you purchase it at a Wal-Mart it’s an even better buy. I was a former model and highly recommend this product.

Comment by Mary Lee on 19 November 2009:
ladies, I bought the Loreal lip plumper at my favorite Walgreens and was so delighted with it, I looked it up on the internet. I was very surprised to see all the negative comments about it. When I use it I notice a definate decrease in the lines above my mouth as well as fuller lips. When I forget to apply it, I can tell the difference.

Comment by Joanne on 15 December 2009:
C’mon ladies – do you believe in miracles?? the product resulted in a very mild improvement for me, which is what I hoped for. I am satisfied.
Comment by Lisa on 19 December 2009:
Sandi- What are the products that do work?
Comment by Christy on 4 January 2010:
I bought the product 2 weeks ago and have been using it twice a day as suggested. The lip plumper does make a “very slight” difference, but there are many plumpers that work and are less expensive. Heck, rubbing cinnamon on your lips works as well.
As far as the fine lines around my mouth?..no change whatsoever. I do mean fine lines. I’m not dealing with deep wrinkles.
I buy all my products at Walgreens because they have a money back gaurantee, used or not.
I’m beginning to wonder if there are any topical cream that work for wrinkles of any kind. I’ve tried ROC (which I came to learn has nothing special in it to make it different from any other product), Oil of Olay products, Garnier..they all went back to the store after I used them for a considerable amount of time. None seem to do what they say they do.
Comment by Tasha on 20 January 2010:
Well I bought the product last night and put it on and I can see a little difference. I believe with each person there is a different response, some it works for and some it doesn’t. Im satisfied with the product and will continue using. I was surprised it did work because I had my doubts but went ahead and made that purchase.
Comment by Cecilia on 23 January 2010:
Well, I bought it a couple of days ago. The results were so good that it terrified me, I expected to get improvement after a couple of days, maybe a week. The results were very quick, I thought how do they do that? and, what is going to happen with my skin when I stop using it? I see clarly the decreasing of wrinkles and the volume encreasing is very evident, a little strange I have to say, still have to get used to its new apeareance, looks a little swollen. I can’t question the efectivenest of the product, it did work for me, but I don’t want to be depending on it forever because I’m taking the risk of my skin loosing its natural elasticity due to this local jo-jo effect in so little period of time.
Comment by Anonymous on 29 January 2010:
Maybe you bitches werent using it long enough did you dump asses think this was going to work in one day. This was probably tested on your pussy lips hahaha
Comment by sarah on 9 February 2010:
Maybe they’ve changed the formula since it first came out? I just bought this and I love it. I noticed a subtle yet immediate plumping effect, plus there is a little numbing effect that makes my lips *feel* plumper, which I like alot. To call this product a “rip-off” is a little ridiculous. This product isn’t promising miracles — only more hydrated, fuller lips over time. The idea that a moisturizer for your lips would make them look fuller over time is a logical, realistic claim. If you think that anything out of a tube is going to give you instant Angelina Jolie lips, you will continue to be disappointed.
Comment by Sue on 16 February 2010:
Must tell you that I am on Day 2 of using this product and I am shocked (happily) at the results!! Wasn’t expecting to see any difference but I am. I am a smoker and the lines on my upper and lower lip are GONE – - I’m loving the lip feathering. Now, must be honest and say that I didn’t notice much difference with the lip plumping (but that’s ok, there’s still time). Love this product and highly recommend it.
Comment by lin lind on 28 March 2010:
Shouldn’t you try it for a few weeks before you say it doesn’t work? I would think the more you use it the more good it would do. No?
Comment by FP on 30 March 2010:
I want to add my voice to those that say this is a great product! I only bought it for the portion that works on lines above the lips (I really don’t care about plumping), and on the first application the lines were virtually removed. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.
Comment by Melissa on 15 May 2010:
I have been using it with much success. The more I use it, the more I notice the results. NO! It’s not like collagen injections…for 20 dollars..c’mon! You want bee-stung lips? Pay for the injections. For a twice daily solution…this DOES work!!
Comment by Bailey on 18 May 2010:
These reviews are sad! I saw the commercial and thought it would work but judging from all the reviews I’ve read I don’t think I will. Damn, I really wanted to buy it too
Comment by Marie on 7 June 2010:
Well stated Sarah. This product may not work for everyone.. But you have to at least give it some time to take effect. If you want immediate results, go get injections.
Comment by babz on 28 June 2010:
I bought Loreal lip plumping lipstick in April. I didn’t even know that it was lip plumping at the time of puchase. When I applied the lipstick the reaction was immediate. I felt a tingling and stinging sensation and was uncomfortable. I returned it to the store for a refund, but my problems were only just beginning. It is three months later, and many doctors visits, and I still haven’t solved my situation. My lips are swollen and so dry that I feel they are going to shrivel up. I can’t imagine that I am still having allergic problems from this product. I don’t know if anyone else has had the same reaction to this product.
Comment by Anonymous on 13 July 2010:
Sally Hansen makes a lip gloss plumper for around 6$ that works pretty well
Comment by Chris on 17 August 2010:
I have used this for about 3 months and believe the 1st cream works well, for me the lines are quite a lot less, I am 66 so did not expect a lot of change I have bought my 2nd lot just about finished the 1st one. I do not use the lip plumping cream #2, very often as it tingles quite a lot but do use it if I want to look plumper in the lips. I expect it is like everything It works for some It most likely depends on how wrinklie we are when we start
Comment by Curiosity girl on 18 September 2010:
I have always had a thin lip and saw the collagen filler lip. The first time I tried, I thought it made my lip looked like a little swollen, I didn’t like the way my lip looked, plus it feels tingles and stings…wasn’t sure if it’s safe so I stopped using it. But then a few days later, I notice my lip was fuller and didn’t look like it was swollen, just nicer. So I used it again this morning and decide to do a web search to learn more about it. There’s more negative experiences here than positive, so I wonder about where my experience may be in a few more weeks.
Comment by p.Johanna on 19 September 2010:
I have always received compliments on my lips. This month I turned 39 and am starting to focus on my lips and eyes. I read the reviews and figured the tingling sensation everyone is complaining about means it is doing what it claims to do. Bought it this morning used it and used it at night. It does not sting and I noticed, right away, that the lines on my lips became smooth. I focused on my upper lip because I noticed it is becoming different and right away I noticed the difference. All of our bodies are made different, shaped different and react differently. If you already had thin lips go get botox.
Comment by nikki on 6 November 2010:
I bought this last week, have been using it day and night since! My lips are still the same; very small and nothing was changed. BOO! L’oreal can suck it! SCAM ARTISTS!!!!!!
Comment by rola on 18 December 2010:
I also tried this product and It didn’t give me any result, I used the first one for one month and then I bought another one, but I didn’t notice any change to my lips……………oh my god Is there any other product better than the L’oreal one
Comment by Karen on 30 December 2010:
“WARNING”
I purchased this product and used it yesterday and woke up with blisters all over my lips. I read the box very carefully for the instruction on how to apply this product, but no where on the box is there any warnings. Now nine hours after I woke up I have larger blisters on my lips and it is spreading. YUCK…
