Eva Mendes At The 2010 CFDA/VOGUE Fashion Fund Runway Show

Eva Mendes’ hairstyle. John Dahlstrom for Frederic Fekkai created Eva Mendes’ tousled, romantic up-do for the 2010 CFDA/VOGUE Fashion Fund Runway Show. The Hairstyle & Inspiration: A slight ‘60’s nod with a bit of Bardot. Think: modern and sophisticated, yet wearable.

How to & products:

John Dahlstrom started by prepping the hair with Fekkai Full Blown Volume Styling Whip, applying just at the root of the hair.

Then, he dried the hair loosely using just his hands to create volume at the base. Next, he purposefully left Eva’s side swept bang out, leaving it to style later. The crown of the hair was then back-combed for a nice, full effect. With Fekkai Coiff Nonchalant Piecing and Forming Wax, the hair was pulled back into a ponytail, but not too tight; this way, the style looked effortless and maintained fullness. After the ponytail was secured, the fringe was released from the clip, and the bang was given hold using Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray to secure the style. The look was accessorized with a D&G headband for modernity.
