Tom Brophy Salon Introduces Healthy Scalp Treatment and After Care Products to Maintain Results at Home

Just in time for summer, Tom Brophy Salon introduces the refreshing Healthy Scalp Treatment, and and suggests that clients use the Davines Muesli and Yogurt Shampoo & Conditioner to maintain their results at home.

“A healthy scalp is integral to overall hair health,” states British-born Tom Brophy, previously Vidal Sassoon’s Art Director, who has been a leading educator and stylist for over 25 years. “A lot of women suffer from problems such as itchiness, redness and dandruff, and this treatment addresses these specific conditions.”

The 4-step Healthy Scalp Treatment is specifically formulated to cleanse, moisturize and nourish the scalp to alleviate conditions mentioned above. The first step is exfoliation using a cleansing oil made of rice bran and orange oil that removes sebum gently. A scalp massage performed during exfoliation purifies and relieves tension. The second step involves application of a cleansing shampoo that absorbs sebum and dirt during foaming massage. The third step is a special moisture treatment that creates a “water veil” to protect the scalp and add luster to the hair, which prevents the scalp from getting overly dry and helps control seborrhea. The final step involves application of the nourishing treatment, which scalp problems such as oiliness, dryness and redness, nourishes cells in the hair follicle for healthy growth. This nourishing service retails for $60.

To maintain results at home, Tom Brophy Salon now offers the Davines Muesli and Yogurt Shampoo and Conditioner. The Davines Muesli and Yogurt Shampoo and Conditioner work on all hair types, fine or coarse, and effectively moisturize a dry scalp as they contain calendula, which is very soothing. The revitalizing Shampoo (retail $16.00) contains yogurt extract, wheat protein, hop extract, while the Conditioner (retail $20.00) contains carrageenan (algae extract), yogurt, yogurt powder, saccharomyces silicon ferment, magnesium, iron & copper. In addition, the conditioner detangles hair.

“What’s great is that the yogurt protein is laboratory created and duplicates the action of the yogurt protein, so it qualifies as a vegan product,” adds Brophy. “The shampoo also works as a great body wash too.”

The new Tom Brophy Salon is a refined sensory experience reminiscent of a modern art gallery. The salon focuses on sophisticated cuts and color services that work well over a period of time, in addition to offering high quality service to its clients.
